Ever wanted to try your hand at musical improv? On October 5th + 6th, you can take a Musical Improv 101 Intensive! In this introductory class, which is open to performers of all musical and improvisational skill levels, we’ll be exploring the fundamentals of musical improv and improvised songs, and you are guaranteed to have a GREAT time doing it. Even if you’ve never made up a song before, by the end of this workshop, you’ll be belting like a pro!

On September 9th, you can take "Short Form for Your Long Form". This is a workshop designed to inject more spontaneity and creativity into your improv. This workshop will focus on applying the quick-thinking skills of short-form games into your long-form scenes. You will be playing several games, each designed to help you think of scenes differently and discover more of what you're capable of comedically. Perfect for those looking to elevate their long-form game and have a lot of fun in the process.

Instructor: Maddie Brown is an improvisor and standup comic out of Denver, CO. She has been performing short form improv for over a decade and has been obsessed with all things comedy for even longer. She currently performs with several teams at Rise Comedy in Denver including Blockbuster and Laugh Track.

Tonight is the Clown Drop in and Jam!! For $10 you can have a safe space to practice clowning and train in the art of ridiculousness. Skills learned are valuable for anyone looking to enhance their performance capabilities. This is not a typical red-nose clown workshop. This Sunday is Comedy is Therapy's workshop MINDFUL IMPROV is being taught by Shelsea Ochoa! She is a Social Worker and a mental health professional who specializes in theater and play-based forms of therapy. She facilitates group therapy using improv for folks that experience loneliness and symptoms of social anxiety with local organization Comedy is Therapy.

Shelsea will guide you as you embark on a transformative journey. Dive into practical exercises and insights that strengthen both your improv skills and mental resilience. This session explores the rich history and scientific connection between theater and mental health. We will also put this work into practice by trying out therapeutic improv games and exercises. Whether you're an improviser, coach, or mental health practitioner, discover how these disciplines support and enhance one another for personal growth and empowerment.
