We can’t believe it’s already time to say goodbye to the Class of 2024! 🎓🥳

Monday-Friday: 8AM-8PM
Saturday: 9AM-8PM
Sunday: 10AM-8PM

Starting Friday, June 7, the Anderson Academic Commons will be open until 2 AM. After 8 PM on all days, an active DU ID card is required to enter the building.

Don’t miss out on viewing the incredible student works displayed in ‘(in)organic’!

Located in the Dean's Suite on the 3rd floor of the AAC, the artwork on display was created in Painting Professor Deborah Howard’s spring Painting Portfolio Workshop.

For this exhibition, students were challenged to create a piece that was the opposite of art they usually made. This led to a discussion of the opposite ideas of organic and manufactured, resulting in the students choosing the exhibition title (in)organic.

The Science and Engineering Center is a collaborative space staffed by undergraduate and graduate learning assistants trained to assist students with first and second year biology, chemistry, physics, and engineering lecture and laboratory courses.

Our goal is to help students grow as problem solvers by assisting with homework sets, lab reports, and preparing for exams. The Science and Engineering Center is not a one-on-one tutoring center, but is rather a support system where students can get guidance from TAs as well as their peers.

In celebration of the Office of Teaching and Learning's 25th anniversary, the Anderson Academic Commons is showcasing the remarkable contributions of faculty, staff, and the broader DU family since 1998.

After examining the ways in which teaching and the university classroom have evolved over the past 25 years, we encourage visitors to reflect and write down their dreams or predictions for whats to come!

Starting May 28th, ‘(in)organic’ will be on view in the Dean’s Suite Gallery, located on the upper level of the Anderson Academic Commons. An Opening Reception will take place on Tuesday, May 28th at 3PM.

This week’s Page Turners highlights books in the library where things are not always as what they seem...

1) ‘Rouge’ by Mona Award
For as long as she can remember, Belle has been obsessed with When her estranged mother, Belle finds herself back in Southern California, dealing with her mother's considerable debts and grappling with lingering questions about her death. The stakes escalate when a strange woman in red appears at the funeral, offering a tantalizing clue about her mother's demise, followed by a cryptic video about a transformative spa experience. There, Belle discovers the frightening secret behind her (and her mother's) obsession with the mirror--and the great shimmering depths (and demons) that lurk on the other side of the glass.

2) ‘Our Wives Under The Sea” by Julia Armfield
Miri thinks she has got her wife back, when Leah finally returns after a deep sea mission that ended in catastrophe. It soon becomes clear, though, that whatever happened in that vessel, whatever it was they were supposed to be studying, Leah has carried part of it with her.

3)
Area X has claimed the lives of members of eleven expeditions. The twelfth expedition consisting of four women hopes to map the terrain and collect specimens; to record all their observations, scientific and otherwise, of their surroundings and of one another; and, above all, to avoid being contaminated by Area X itself.

The Graduate School Professional Psychology presents “Game Changers: Celebrating Icons of Inclusion in Sport”.
