Come on down for some great music, grab a bite from the food trucks and stop by the Depew Volunteer Fire Department tent. As always, we will be doing our weekly 50/50 drawing. Hope to see you there!

⭐️NATIONAL NIGHT OUT 2024⭐️

Depew Police Department has partnered with Depew Fire Department and the Village of Depew to bring back National Night Out. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, August 6th, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Fireman's Park.

The rain and humidity will be gone, it will be a great night to come on down to Veterans Park for the Concert in the Park Series featuring the Carnival Kids Steel Orchestra. Grab a bite from the food trucks and stop by the Depew Volunteer Fire Department tent where you can learn some Fire prevention tips and find out more about becoming a volunteer firefighter. We will again be doing our weekly 50/50 drawing. See you there!

The Depew Volunteer Fire Department Junior Firefighters are again at the Green Acres Movie Night tonight at Fireman's Park. Stop by and say hello and grab your free temporary tattoo before the movie starts!

When you come to Founders Day today, make sure to stop and buy some hotdogs from our Junior Firefighters. They are located near the far corner of the beer tent. All proceeds benefit our Juniors who are the future of our Department!

The Founders Day Celebration continues tonight with Strictly Hip taking the stage. Weather will be awesome for an outdoor concert. The beer tent opens at 4 and will be professionally staffed by your Depew Volunteer Firefighters and Auxiliary. As always, we will be doing our 50/50 drawing. Hope to see everyone there!

Tonight Past Chief Scott Wegst was honored as Village Employee of the Year from the Fire Department at the Founders Day Celebration. Congratulations Past Chief Scott!

Founders Day Celebration begins tonight, Depew Volunteer Firefighters will be there all 3 days with equipment displays, fire prevention and membership information. In addition, stop in the beer tent where you will be professionally served by the members of our Department and Auxiliary. Each night we will be doing a 50/50 drawing for a chance to take home some extra cash. The weather is going to be great all 3 days, come on down for a great time!

Last night, Depew Volunteer Firefighters along with our Brother's and Sister's from the Alden, Bowmansville, Crittenden, Lancaster, Millgrove and Town Line Fire Departments lined Broadway in Depew to honor Fallen U.S. Forest Firefighter and former Twin District Firefighter Daniel Foley. Rest in peace Firefighter Foley.

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of our past member, 27-year-old, Daniel Foley.

Dan joined Twin District as a Junior Firefighter, becoming an active firefighter in 2014, and later an EMT with AMR. Dan then became a professional firefighter in Fauquier County, VA. He eventually returned to Lancaster, NY and worked at the Buffalo VA Hospital. Dan finally followed his heart joining his best friends Dan Sutch and Mike McCombs [also past members of Twin District VFC], taking a position as a professional firefighter with the US Forestry Service Wildland Firefighters. His post was the Fremont-Winema National Forest (2.3 million acres)- Bly Ranger District in Oregon Region 6. On July 9th, following routine preparedness activities as a firefighter with the US Forestry Service Wildland Firefighters, Dan died in the line of duty.

Please keep Dan’s family, his fiancé, her son, his many friends, and his Brother and Sister firefighters in your thoughts and prayers.

Should be a great night to listen to music and grab some food. Your Depew Volunteer Firefighters will be there with equipment displays, fire prevention and membership information. On Wednesday July 10th, the very first Outdoor Family Movie Night at the Depew Fireman's Park Pavilion and brought to you FREE by Green Acres Ice Cream will take place.

The Depew Volunteer Fire Department would like to recognize 36 year Firefighter Scott Hossfeld on his retirement from the Depew Police Department. Scott was appointed as a police officer in 2003 after serving as a dispatcher. During his career he held the positions of Detective, Fire Investigator, and School Resource Officer for Depew Public Schools. Congratulations F-51!.

It is with deep regret and much sadness that we announce the passing of Past Chief James Koral.
Past Chief Koral joined Twin District VFC in September 1995 after having served with Sloan Active Hose and Doyle Fire Company #2, where is also served as Fire Chief
Past Chief Koral was a wealth of knowledge for the fire service and shared that knowledge serving many years as a New York State Fire Instructor
Past Chief Koral was a Veteran, having served in the United States Navy in the Naval Fire Brigade
Please keep Past Chief Koral, his family and his firefighting family in your thoughts and prayers

The Depew Volunteer Fire Department would like to congratulate Firefighter Landyn Rogacki on successfully completing the New York State BEFO/IFO training totalling 129 hours. Landyn began as a Junior Firefighter and is now a Firefighter with Depew Hook and Ladder Company #1. Awesome job Landyn!

Mark your calendar....Depew Founder's Day starts on Thursday July 18th and runs through Saturday July 20th. Plenty of great music with DOUBLESHOT on the 18th from 7-10PM...on Saturday July 19th the Depew HS Alumni Band will play at 5PM in the Gazebo and THE STRICTLY HIP on the event stage from 7-11PM in the beer tent...and on Saturday the 20th, we'll have kids entertainer Glenn Colton at 3PM in the Gazebo...and in the beer tent we will have solo artist Grace Stumberg from 4-6PM and NERDS GONE WILD from 7-11PM.

There will be multiple bounce houses and activities in the Family Friendly Zone including face painting and prizes.

Food trucks and ice cream all three days, plus Carrubba's Chicken BBQ on Saturday starting at 11AM until sold out. Craft vendors will be on site both Friday and Saturday.

Tonight is the first Concert in the Park, the Depew Volunteer Fire Department will again be present with apparatus, Fire prevention and recruitment information. Stop by our tent, say hello and take a chance on our weekly 50/50 drawing. See you there!

Last night, the Depew Volunteer Fire Department presented it's Annual Scholarship Awards to 2 deserving graduating seniors. Gaige Hughey from Lancaster High School, and Olivia Guggemos from Depew High School were both presented with $500 checks. Congratulations and good luck to both!
