After 2 years of flour filled pure chaos, this kid is starting full time daycare today. Now I know a lot of people are doing much harder things but running a bakery and business from your home while taking care of your baby/toddler is pretty nuts. Some weeks have been amazing, most have felt impossible but I am very grateful for the time this little biz has given me with my son. He’s been doing deliveries with me since he was 2 weeks old. I used to carry him in while sleeping in his car seat and leave him with one of my incredibly kind and patient local partners while I ran back out for a box of cookies. These days he’s running inside in his pajamas waving at everyone along the way, demanding a broom, and sweeping their floors 😂

I’m looking forward to this next chapter including more time for myself which will in turn allow me to be a better parent and business owner. BIG things are coming now that I can conduct my business uninterrupted while being able to hear my own thoughts and I can’t wait to fill you all in soon 😉

Meet the dark cocoa cookie stuffed with yellow cake pop and rolled in golden sprinkles. This cookie is inspired by the legendary Caitlin Clark and is part of our Empower Women Cookie Box.

Just yesterday, she became the NCAA all time leading scorer for men and women’s basketball. She is an incredible competitor smashing records left and right and is changing how the world views women’s sports. I have seen firsthand the positive impact she has had on little girls who aspire to play basketball like her. This cookie is black and gold for the Hawkeye’s #22! Beaming with pride for my state and Alma mater.

When I was done baking yesterday, I realized I had baked a cookie for every color of the rainbow and thought that was pretty cool.

There is so much pain, suffering and turmoil in the world right now and I wish a cookie rainbow could make it all go away but at the very least, it’s a reminder that there is hope and to appreciate the bright spots 🌈 🍪
