Since that day, I have gotten up most every day and fought him. From late term trading programs to his political activities to his sidewalks to his fetal tissue research to malpractice suits.

Again 250,000 kills himself.

As Roe falls, the work is not done. The abortion industry adores Curtis. They tell folk tales about his 10,000 illegal abortions before Roe. He incessantly brags how he was the Pride of Athens he is the hero of the Abortion culture. He was even writing his memoirs

One thing I know about Boyd is he hates negative publicity. He could not stand it when his University professorship was cancelled. He doesn’t do this for the money. Vanity is his favorite sin.

I have lived passionately fighting Boyd. I ask for your help. Mark Lee Dickson will get enough signatures to bring up making his hometown of Athens Texas a Sanctuary city to the City Council.

When that city council meeting occurs I need people for all over the Country to write letters to the City Council. I need pro life leaders to show up at this meeting to speak. We need to overwhelm Athens City Council.

Ways to keep your mantilla veil from slipping Here are a few tips on how to keep your mantilla veil from slipping off!

Let talk about veiling. We will be making veils this summer. I have started feeling moved to wear my veil not only at Mass but in everyday life. I need God and our Lady every day and everywhere we are. It feels right and it reminds me to whom I belong. So we will be exploring veils and the tradition of wearing a veil in the presence of Jesus at Mass. Jesus is always present in the Tabernacle so as Catholics we should be aware of this when we enter the Church we are truly in the presence of Jesus and must conduct ourselves with the reverence and respect required when in the presence of God. We should put some thought into our clothing and make choices that are modest and dignified. Have you ever attended Mass and been momentarily distracted by someone else's choice of wardrobe? People haven't been taught or have forgotten the importance of modesty. If you believe you were going to be in the presence of Jesus; his body, blood, soul and divinity, the true presence of God would you choose to go meet him in shorts and flip flops or would you at least wear something that you would wear to court or in the presence of a celebrity or a book signing with your favorite author? Surely Jesus deserves more respect than a Judge or your favorite author.
Veils or hats for that matter are an outward sign of respect to the true presence of Jesus. Ladies cover their heads. Men remove their hats. Head coverings for women are not worn to distract or call attention to oneself but rather to help us focus more on Jesus than anyone or anything around us and as a pious symbol of respect to our Lord. It says I am ready and willing to follow God's lead and serve him. Personally, in Mass when I wear my veil I am aware of the presence of lace. I can see it at the side and it almost gives me a physical sense of isolation from what is happening around me other than the Mass itself. I am quietly focused on the Mass. That is what I am there for. So, modest clothing and veil and we are set. I don't make my daughter wear a veil but if I wear mine she notices and she inevitably covers her head in one way or another. Sometimes it's a scarf or she pulls the hood up on her sweatshirt. I wore a small bandana type veil to the store the other day, tied in the back and Lucy found head wraps on clearance while we were shopping and as soon as we got to the van she put one on. Our children learn by example. Let's start setting good examples for them.
Below are photos of the bandana type veil I wore that day and the headbands/head wraps Lucy found and tried out. In the coming weeks I will try to post reviews and comparisons of a couple of inexpensive veils I ordered from sellers on Amazon and veils we will be sewing ourselves.

Doing God's work through prayer and action, even when we feel we can't go on. We know that God's Grace is sufficient and his will, will be done. Because what God has willed for his children no man (or woman) can stop.
Today we want to thank God for his guidance and protection as two years of hard work and suffering comes to it's inevitable end. God's will, will always win out and praise him, in our case Justice will be served. We have been given what we asked for from the beginning, a fair shot at repairing our home and living in it. Our family would also like to thank all of our friends and supporters who have prayed, signed petitions, donated and volunteered their time and talents to protecting our home and preventing what we have been through happing to anyone else. Please continue to pray that our hard fought battle will change the course of the blitz on blight program and it will either end or be transformed into a positive program for vulnerable elderly and low income Iowans so that they can remain living in the home they worked for their whole lives safely and with dignity.

We will be allowed to finish our repairs and go home and live in the peace of Christ in the house I grew up in, the house my Aunt and Mother grew up in and will one day belong to my daughter who has at age 14-16 shared in the work of repairing, painting, laying flooring and donating things my Grandmother collected over a life time, researching laws in the state of Iowa and prayer, the hard work and the mental workout to prepare for and battle side by side with her Mama against adults in positions of power. I am so very proud of her, she is a teenager but she is a force to be reckoned with, with a heart of gold. We also wish to recognize and express our gratitude to all of the Saints who we and others requested prayers and protection from, My dear Mother, Grandparents, St Joseph and St Michael, Mother Mary, Jesus, my late husband Joe who went home to be with our Lord in 1995 and of course my husband and Lucy's Daddy who died March 10, 2020 of a heart attack after so much stress early in our attempt to repair our home under threat of demolition and pressure to sell to flippers, working within a system designed for our failure. I'm so sorry you had to endure that kind of frustration trying to protect our family and home but I am comforted knowing how you loved our Lord and the memory of your Baptism and our confirmation together in the Catholic Church in 2018. Thank you Carl, Mom and Joe for loving us and for your unending prayers and help from the other side of the veil. Grant them oh Lord eternal rest and may perpetual light shine upon them. May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace. In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost.
