We got into ownership to make a difference in the quality of life of hairstylists and to improve the quality of skilled services and care that guests need to feel confident as they step into their world and tell their stories everyday!

We are parents of 5 and when we aren’t at the salon we are enjoying time at the hockey rink, gymnastics , traveling and experiencing life, and advocating for our youngest son. This has taught us patience, and perseverance. We value kindness , inclusion, and time with loved ones.

Dawn started doing extensions in 2002 and with Dan as her biggest supporter he even started making extensions in 2008. This early collaboration started a journey of business partnership to focus on bringing extensions to the next level.

Moving ahead 8 years later with Dan also licensed; Allegory was created to carry through our dreams of a better career for stylists and better extensions and hair loss solutions for guests.

In 2023 we added SMP: Scalp micro pigmentation, and crown extensions so we could solve even more hair loss issues and give power back to our guests over their hair loss.

We are looking for a stylist for full time Monday-Friday. Our salon is closed on the weekends!

This position starts with 6-9 months of training weekly and continues with quarterly to bi-yearly training. You’ll be doing request quests right away.

We have a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere in a modern environment in the East Village.

We focus on hair color,haircuts , And extensions.
