We had a lot of fun at the November IBU Meeting. This month brought out the best American Amber Ales possible for the final in our year long Iron Brewer Challenge. Congrats go out to Shawn Montgomery for taking home the big win this year! Thanks as always to Confluence Brewing Company for hosting us this month.

Last weekend the IBU had its annual Oktoberfest celebration. Plenty of food, beer, and fun times were had. If you want to join us for this or any of our other events consider becoming a member and taking your first step into a great hobby, and making some great friends.

September has been a busy month! Thanks to everyone that made it out to Jimmy Carter Happy Hour and our September meeting. Shout out to el Bait Shop and Peace Tree Brewing Company for hosting those events. The month isn't over yet though! We will be at The Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden for Music in the Garden September 28th. Come on down and try some great homebrew.
