We must hold our elected officials accountable for how they use our tax dollars. Creating a voucher scheme to give more of our tax dollars to out of state corporations and private schools without any accountability on how those funds must be used is just plain wrong. It also hurts our investments in our communities by weakening our support for the public schools at a time when we should be working to promote and strengthen our schools to ensure a strong democratic society for the future.

So instead of being careful with public funds, the administration basically proved its critics right” by doubling the administrative costs of vouchers, with no reason, without disclosing it on their own.
