This week, God has taken me full circle.
Out of 300 applicants 30 years ago, I started my commercial real estate career right here in this building. Didn’t know anything about real estate, but they took a chance on me. Before the words diversity and inclusion became popular, leadership didn’t see my color or gender. They saw my potential and I saw the opportunity. Can’t think of doing anything else. I love me some commercial real estate. www.kornrstore.com,www.purpose8realestate.com

This is a pretty good article,
but it missed some important points:
1. Dollar stores are strategically placed to drive neighborhood grocery stores out of business, resulting in hundreds of million dollars leaving a neighborhood instead of circulating within neighborhoods
2. Less money in neighborhoods, results in less capital investment in neighborhoods (existing and new business loans)
3. The correlation between low quality food and poor health
4. The data is not new, (grocery stores closed, dollar stores opened) so why is this being allowed to continue?

Can Detroiters afford more dollar stores? - BridgeDetroit Dollar stores have been linked to blight, increased crime, and worsened food access nationally and in Detroit. A settlement reached last week requires Dollar Tree to pay Detroit $150,000 to settle one-fifth of the company’s outstanding blight fines.
