Last week, we wrapped up our season of Drinking with Dogs with a spook-tacular Halloween celebration at Batch Brewing Company! 🐶🍻

We met some scary-cute dogs and their humans, all decked out for our annual costume contest 🐾👻

From her love of quirky dogs to her memorable rescue stories, Sydney brings so much heart and dedication to Canine To Five 🐾

Q: What’s your favorite part of managing a dog daycare?
Sydney: Definitely all of the unique and quirky dogs I get to meet and love. Every dog has their own personality, and it’s such a joy to get to know each one of them.

Q: Can you share a memorable story about a dog you’ve cared for at Canine To Five?
Sydney: Atticus will always be my most memorable story. Outside of work, I volunteer with rescues, and I was part of a transport for a rescue in Pennsylvania that had burnt down and needed urgent placement for their dogs. We picked up two and brought them to Michigan. A few months later, one of those dogs, Atticus, came to Canine To Five for his evaluation. Over the last four years, I’ve had the pleasure of caring for him, loving him, and building a great relationship with his owner. It’s been such a rewarding experience!

Q: What’s your go-to snack or drink to keep you energized throughout the day?
Sydney: Fruit! It’s one of my favorite snacks to get me through the day.

Q: What’s your favorite season at Canine To Five and why?
Sydney: Summer, for sure. The pools come out, the dogs love sunbathing, and it’s just a fun time for everyone!

Q: If you could pick one dog breed that best matches your personality, what would it be and why?
Sydney: I’d say a Husky! I can have a bit of a spicy attitude at times, and while I’m not always super social, when I’m with my crowd, I’m very loud and full of energy—just like a Husky!
