We are starting to run low on charcoal... Please consider donating to buy another pallet of charcoal! You can give through our stat website (http://elevateDetroit.com/give), Facebook or PayPal and there should be a memo section to mark it for charcoal.

We'll also need some help when it comes time to pick up, move and load the charcoal into storage for use throughout the next year! If you want to help with that, let us know too! :)

I've had the chance to meet, get to know and love some of the most AMAZING people God ever created!! I'm honored to know each one of you. And I'm so glad you each took the chance to find out, "What if?"

No matter where you're at financially, background, baggage, resources, family, friends, homeless/not, employed, addicted, fallen on your face, walking tall... Every one of us are God's precious little kids. And I'm so glad for the journey shared together.

Every one of us has something to share. It might be food or material things, skills, picking up trash, a stellar game of corn hole, mad skills on a bounce house or grill, a warm hug/smile, a listening ear, a hungry tummy. We're looking for people who can bring firewood to the Elevate Detroit park!! All winter long and as much as anyone can bring.

In the colder months our fire pit is usually burning non-stop and people use it for warmth.

We usually have a lot more wood donated by this point, but so far this winter we're a bit lite.

Any and all firewood or pallets would help!

We are desperately looking for someone to haul our trailer from Troy to the Community Homeless BBQ next Saturday November 27th at 1:00 p.m. If you have the ability to haul a trailer and the time to bring it to Detroit from Troy and return it to Troy after the barbecue is over please give me a call at 734-261-4726. This picture hangs on my (Mike's) wall at home. In the center is my/our friend, Mack. This is the day he turned 27 and it was his very first birthday party. It was a great honor to get to throw it for him. So many people made cakes, decorations, music, everything. Someone even baked him a separate cake that he could have to himself and take with him.

Today, in heaven, Mack turns 37!! Happy birthday, Mack!!! Your smile lit up the room. Your poems were moving and powerful. We're honored to have known you and called you a friend! I look forward to seeing you again!
