My favorite aspect of this work is having the privilege of photographing the same people over the years.

I've been documenting since the beginning and this portrait from today speaks volumes of being in a place now where she is living her purpose but still open to evolving and exploring new interests, possibilities and following her dreams.

What we perceive our purpose to be can absolutely shift throughout our lives, but as long as we are honest about what we want and who we are - that's all that matters 💖

🌈 RAINBOW AURAS 🌈

If you ever photographed as a rainbow during a session with me, I'll point blank as you if things are a bit crazy in your life right now - and most of you say "OMG YES"

Most of us don't move through life day to day with all chakras open - this typically occurs when we are at the culmination of several circumstances in life, and essentially juggling ALL of the things, not able to ignore a single aspect. Think: firing on all cylinders kind of energy 💥

Rainbows appear differently, and not all rainbows are created equal - our auras are a reflection of our life's story so everything depends on what colors show up and more importantly HOW they show up.

💫 NEW YEAR, NEW ERA 💫

Happy 2023 friends! I'm currently on Sabbatical and will be through end of March. Those of you who I saw in December are the very last AURA AURA sessions ever at my studio in SW Detroit because I'll be moving to the East Village neighborhood of Detroit at the end of February / early March when I'm back from my month long trip visiting family in Taiwan.

I'm SO excited for this new chapter and evolution of my practice, but it also feels bittersweet leaving behind our beloved space soon. So much love, sweat and tears went into the current iteration of G R E Y A R E A] we've had for the last 5+ years. I can't believe I'll be moving my geodesic dome for the very first time since I built it ( I tour with a diff one 😉 ) !!

Thank you to everyone who came through over the years to be photographed, those who came for art shows or even just to shop. The memories we created 2017 - 2022 will be with me forever 🥹💕

While I'm unavailable these first 3 months of the year, my partner Christopher will still be available on select dates January and February for sessions at G R E Y A R E A] in Southwest Detroit. We'll be taking a break early March to get settled into our new space on Kercheval Ave. and be back in full swing starting late March / early April.

I'll be announcing my April & May 2023 Mini Session & Private Session availability for Detroit early February - you can sign up for my email list to be notified in advance of the public release and get first dibs on bookings at my new studio!

I'm also working on dates for my Spring Tour and hope to start making announcements late February or early March. Love you all so much, and see you when I'm back in April!

Chris and I are heartbroken as our little angel and bestest buddy Rusty crossed the rainbow bridge in which he came from very early yesterday morning.

Many of you whom we've seen here at home in Detroit or on tour - especially at any of our visits to Ace Hotel - had the privilege of meeting him and know how special and bright of a soul he truly is. Rusty was so smart, adventurous, with the biggest personality for such a lil guy, and literally traveled with us everywhere on tour. He brought so much joy to the lives of everyone he crossed paths with.

Behind the scenes, in our personal life - the past few years has been a rollercoaster managing Rusty's heart condition + hepatic encephalopathy, but ultimately so worth all of the daily dedication and work we put in along with weekly visits to his holistic vet at Natural Healing Pet Care for treatments. Teamwork truly makes the dream work and Rusty was living proof.

Rusty is the most profound teacher I will ever have in this incarnation / lifetime and I am so grateful for all the time we've been able to spend with him.

Knowing we are so much more than our physical selves hasn't made this transition any easier, but we are so happy to know our sweet, gentle prince is at peace and free, but will always be with us in spirit.

We love you so much forever Rusty 💕
