Yeah this seems correct. Greeks and Romans etc went to the biggest University town with all the knowledge in Africa. Then took that knowledge back to where they came from. Since others wouldn't know about. They just took credit for others work.

Tick me off with ignoring facts
Mifepristone is not only for Abortions. Stressing that is the only use ignoring medical conditions that could join the fight. It is for controlling Hypoglycemia in persons with Cushing Disease. Also to help with women with bleeding of and shrinking of fibroid (tumors in the uterus of women).
Maybe if people thought about everyone it affects there could be joined efforts. By everyone who needs the drug. I bet those same people with abortion issue would thike twice about women having uterine tumor treatment so deadly cancer doesn't form as well as hurting Cushing patients. Get all people on board not just one group.

Black-Owned Banks and Credit Unions - NerdWallet 02/20/2023

A great idea many may not have had. With all the major banks discrimination tactics. If you didn't know the Civil Rights Act about discrimination does cover home rental. But it doesn't cover financial institutions at all. That's why all the lawsuits from mortgages, loan to banking while black bank incidents. Like the Director of Black Panther being arrested and handcuffed at BOA for trying to take money out of his own account. To local incidents in MI and nationwide discrimination lawsuits recently for actions taken by national banks discrimination all the way back to the time black banks where formed because the other bank wouldn't let minorities open accounts so those communities had to open their own banks in their own community. Then National banks deciding to take their money and taking advantage of them to this day. With arrest of customers at their own banks. Including Redlining black and brown still going on 55 yrs after fair housing in banking government act.

Election Subversion: Last Week Tonight with John Oliver (HBO) 11/07/2022

on Tuesday. I may have said it as joke that if Trump got in we wouldn't be able to do suck it up and vote Hillary. (I bet many of you wish you had with the crap going on now. Ruining actual lives) we have a two party system that is all we have and the only votes really that count. And we need to vote as a block so we can actually continue to vote. They have constantly removed those rights from minorities based on race since US began. And want to go back to that. Removing rights left and right to go back in time. When only white male property owners could vote. Remember your dwelling you may own is not on property you own. You may pay property taxes. But you own the building not the land it's on.

Vote Blue so your friends and people you may not know and yourself. Can continue to vote and are counted and this does not become a Dictatorship of nut jobs who want a Monarchy.

Looks like we will be posting Respiration Kitchen for a bit. What you can cook when the stove isn't viable and all you have at the moment is a multifunction rice cooker.

Getting to know the rice cooker has been interesting. Oatmeal and eggs are pretty standard. It makes really good egg dishes by the way from fried all the way to fancy omelets. Soup is pretty simple. But then I wanted more items.

So today is pancake day. I've already made sweet potato fries with it, a roast that is nicely browned and crisp on the outside and falling apart while cutting it. I'm slowly moving up the chain of possibilities.

Today pancakes well one big pancake.

I made a standard pancake batter but because it will steam while it cooks I've reduced the main liquid by 1/4 of the volume.

Wish us luck everyone. For the first time in a few years we are applying for Farmers Market Vending. We will let you know of those and other events this year. We miss you all and hope to see you. Our regular posting for silent kitchen stopped because of building renovation related issues. That is still going on but as of hopefully Friday there will be a working stove top. Fingers crossed.

Let's make Traditional and/or Vegan Compound Butter Silent Cooking goes Video!

What you will need
Tools: bowl, cutting board, knife and spatula. Storage bowl
I did not say food processor it's about the texture

Ingredients 1/2 Cup of solid fat we like Country Crock Plant butter in olive or avocado, crisco butter is classic or butter the vegan plain

(If available from local POC guy at the Eastern Market sheds is good for this. His brand is called "Dancy's Fancy Butter" the logo is a daisy and it's sold in a 8 ounce container. Buy local when you can and support POC when possible.)

Fresh herbs only .25 oz chives, .25 oz Rosemary stalks, one small shallot or 1\4 of a small red onion and 3 small garlic cloves together they would be the size of a quarter or a tiny bit over. After tasting the butter you can add a little more but remember the flavors intensify with heat.

Store in covered container in the fridge. It's a good finishing, roasting and toasting flavor blast

Enjoy from Native Kitchen to your home

This year Silent Cooking gets a upgrade. Think we have figured out the vid one button for everything control. So let's get together each week for a mini- cooking thing. We will try to use what might be in your home or you can pickup. We will also take suggestions. We will try to limit specialty items you will rarely use. But some items will always be in some cabinets. Feedback is welcome and we really want it. How else would it get better?

So fingers crossed if this VC works well Friday will be the first. No it won't be perfect and will get better over time. This is real so yeah mistakes are left in. No one is perfect so you get to see the mess and the best. Compound Butter

Who said French Toast had to be sweet?

Marble Rye leave loaf whole the cut thick and thin slices. Make a egg or ageless batter dip and sauteed you battered bread. While it is soaking cut thin shreds (chiffonade) your choice of greens (these are turnip greens) salute with soy sauce and spices or your favorite marinade add a splash of wine or rice vinegar it cuts the sharp bitter taste of the greens add a 1/3 of a shallot. Topped with pan fried protein of your choice seasoned here with Creole blackened seasoning lightly dusted with flour of choice if using cornstarch or arrowroot add 2 pinches of sugar to it to darken while lightly frying. I used a rollup of garlic sauce but you can use a sour cream types thickness white sauce and sprinkled with toasted garlic and pepper ground in pepper mill. Let your imagination soar.

We love a item we found but with at a store but with Pandemic we found it hard to find in the store. Well last time we where in the favorite Asian Grocery which has been a long time. So we are going to make a yummy Black garlic oil you can keep in the fridge. It's good on many other things but it's so.... yummy. we how you like it too and we are going to try to make more guilty pleasure items.
