Lefty’s Downtown Detroit
Grilled Fresh and Hot on the corner of Woodward and Adams
Detroits Finest Entertainment! 🤩😎 Fox Theater. Detroit, Michigan
On this date 112 years ago, the 23,000-seat Navin Field opened in , on April 20, 1912. You probably know is better as Tiger Stadium, home of the Detroit Tigers.
Tiger Stadium was designed by the father and son team of Frank C. Osborn and Kenneth H. Osborn. "The Corner," as it was known, hosted 6,873 regular season games, 35 postseason contests and three All-Star Games -- in 1941, 1951 and 1971. There also were 10 no-hitters pitched at Tiger Stadium, but only two were by Tigers: Virgil Trucks in 1952 and George Mullin in 1912.
The Tigers left this hallowed baseball ground after the 1999 season and moved to Comerica Park. Despite efforts by preservationists, the stadium was demolished in 2008-09. The site is now home to condos, apartments and a youth sports field.

Opening day! Love seeing all of the faces downtown!
👀 Absolutely astounding shot of four A-10s from the Selfridge Air National Guard Base flying over Comerica Park this afternoon for the Detroit Tigers' Opening Day. Chilly conditions for the game, but that's almost a rite of passage for Michigan baseball fans.
