Totally agree. Teachers, staff and even parents should be allowed the freedom to carry in schools if they so choose. Not allowing a person their God given right solely because of their chosen profession is asinine and spits in the face of freedom.

In addition, I have personally conducted CPL classes for many teachers and my daughter's mother is a teacher. Make no mistake, there are teachers who carry in schools despite the law not being in favor of it. And that brings up my next point. Gun rights are Civil rights. Being descendants of enslaved people, we know of several people who fought for civil rights by actively defying the law. Rosa Parks, Martin Luther King Jr, the Deacons for Defense, the Freedom Riders and others, all defied the law in the fight for civil rights. Why should the fight for gun rights be any different? So if the system refuses to allow civil rights then we need to defy the unjust laws.

Southfield police provided an update on a fatal shooting that occurred Tuesday afternoon.

The homeowner and visiting new boyfriend were at her residence.

The ex-boyfriend arrived unannounced and entered the residence through an exterior window. Once in the apartment, he entered a room occupied by the female and new boyfriend.

The new boyfriend fired multiple shots striking the ex-boyfriend, who was unarmed. The male from Inkster was later pronounced deceased at the hospital, police said.

The new boyfriend was taken into custody. There was a six- and eleven-year-old on scene at the time of the shooting who were uninjured, police said.

"The case was forwarded to the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office for a charging decision. Southfield Detectives were advised to release the male pending review of additional information," police said in a statement.

Someone makes an accusation to police and the courts about your state of mind, a hearing is held where the accused is not party to, the accusation is validated by a judge, the accused is robbed of their fi****ms and barred from purchasing more, the accused who has already been convicted and punished now is given the opportunity to prove they are not guilty.

So under red flag laws you're not innocent until proven guilty, you're guilty until you appease the irrational fears of others.

What this means: The 9th Circuit upheld CA's mag ban and HI's carry ban. SCOTUS overturned those rulings, and the 9th Circuit now has to apply text, history, and tradition to those anti-gun laws.
Same thing with MD's assault weapons ban. The 4th Circuit ruling upholding it has been reversed, and the lower court has to redo based on the actual text of the 2A. This spells doom for assault weapons bans.
