It has taken quite some time to find the right words, but we are immensely saddened at the loss of our dear Chris Waymaster. Way was not only a graduate of MBS, but an instructor for more than 12 years. He had a big sense of humor, was our IT Technician, Mr. Fix-It, Mikey when we needed to get rid of food, a mentor, a friend, a warrior and so much more. Most importantly, Waymaster showed up and always expressed his love for not only the School, but the students and patrons. His personality was easy-going and always willing to find the positives in the negatives.

Way, we want you to know that you were loved and will be missed. We send our prayers and condolences to all of those affected, especially his family.

Way’s celebration of life will be on Monday, July 22, 2024 at 2pm at:

The Emancipation Proclamation of 1863 freed enslaved people in Confederate states, but it did not immediately end slavery in places such as Texas that remained under Confederate control. We are saddened to hear of the passing of one of our dear graduates, Gerald (Mark) Massey. Mark had a gentle soul with a smile that lit up the room. His willingness to learn new things and diligence in achieving his license was remarkable. Our deepest sympathy goes out to his family, classmates, clients and friends.

Congratulations to Marcus for becoming a ! He never strayed from the path and took on challenges every chance he got. We are so proud of you!

We are saddened by the loss of Mr. James Glover who was not only a dear instructor here at MBS, but a mentor, motivator and so much more. We are thankful for the time he spent educating and speaking life into future entrepreneurs. Your impact lives on. May you rest peacefully 💙

The Michigan Barber School is designed to prepare its students for the barbering business. Stop in and get a haircut by any of our talented students this week!

The Michigan Barber School’s primary educational objective is to prepare students for entrance or advancement in the Barber/Styling occupation, requiring technical and/or career oriented competencies and skills.

The weather has been brutal enough and we know you’re due for a haircut. Come in tomorrow because we are back open! Services are from 9am-4:30pm.

Due to freezing cold temperatures, we will be closed tomorrow. January 2024 class will still have online class. We will keep you all posted. Stay safe!

MBS is closed today due to the snow storm! We will return Tuesday, January 16th. Online classes will still be held.

At MBS, students will experience both practical and theoretical training, while also visiting topics such as professionalism, business ethic, and barber laws. Students will get hands-on training on the clinic floor, which is open to the public, along with demonstrations by licensed professionals 🔥
