I am deeply grateful for the incredible community we’ve cultivated during my time here and for my LCD family, who has consistently shown up for me. As I close this chapter in Detroit, I’m thrilled to do so in the same way I began nine years ago: outside on a bike, surrounded by community.

Thank you for being part of my journey—past, present, and future.

The communal bike rides to woman owned business, and areas are listed above. We are kicking off this ride five-part bike series by meeting at 8800 E. Jefferson at Erma Henderson Park at 4PM. We are biking to community garden in the Jeff Chalmers community as well as . I strongly encourage wearing of helmets. Looking forward to riding with you over the next five weeks.

Our phenomenal, former studio coordinator Micah is looking for holiday work while home for the holidays.

⚡️He is a former LCD Cares intern and LCD employee who is a resident of the Islandview community.

⚡️Like many local residents, he was recently impacted by the abrupt Planted Detroit layoffs where he was a summer intern.

LCD launched LCD Cares in conjunction with our fiscal sponsor in an effort to enhance our community initiatives in programming.

This giving Tuesday consider a donation to LCD Cares, Ready to work program. Help us amplify our wellness initiatives, provide safe entrepreneurial education and employment for students 16-21.

LCD Ready TO Work Program: Young adults (15-21)
LCD Cares is committed to providing personal growth opportunities for inner-city young adults. Through its teen internship program; LCD inspires positive change, educating and empowering both at-risk and honor students alike to hone a strong work ethic, build character, and think innovatively.

An “earn while you learn” approach offers teens the financial perks of real-work experience which includes career mentorship, and entrepreneurial and college preparatory programming. All the while, organically receiving tools to navigate life and receiving solutions along the journey. LCD Cares community provides resources, wellness, and emotional support allowing our teens the ability to conquer life despite their current environments.
