Now that the water is receding, Better Days could use help tomorrow with cleanup. They plan to get started around 11am and will have plenty of cleaning supplies. The plan is to pull out and clean what they think can be saved.

Sarah Mullins Spears says they’ll space things out as much as possible to continue to dry and plan to move the things they saved back in next weekend.

So they need some help:

👉From 11am to 3pm. Any amount of help would be appreciated, be it 3 hours or 30 minutes.

👉They ask that volunteers wear old clothes and they recommend gloves, as well as waterproof footwear.

👉Large push brooms would also be very helpful, they say.

The nonprofit is at 314 N. South Street in Farmville.

BCDES is looking for school supply donations! Starting tomorrow, July 5th, there will be a clear tote outside of Station 1 (side door next to the parking lot) and Station 2 (front door.) We are looking for new, unopened supplies that we will be giving out during an event at the beginning of August. We will post more details about the event when we have everything in place! These totes will remain in place until August 1st. We look forward to making this a successful event!
