Dodge City Catbackers
The Dodge City Catbackers exists to promote K-State Athletics in Dodge City and all of Southwest Kansas. GO CATS!
The main goal of the organization is to raise money for the Mike Ahearn Scholarship Fund.
Be sure to join us on Wednesday, May 15th from 8:30-10:30am at the Dodge City Country Club for this year's Catbacker Tour.
The Catbacker Tour is making a stop in Dodge City! Join us for breakfast with the 'Cats and hear from head football coach Chris Klieman; men’s basketball assistant coaches Marco Borne and Anthony Wi******er; as well as some of your favorite K-State student-athletes.
Voice of the Wildcats Wyatt Thompson will emcee, and you’ll have a chance to meet Alumni Association president and CEO Adam Walker '04, '09 and get your picture taken with Willie the Wildcat.
Coffee and breakfast items will be available. No charge to attend but reservations are requested at [email protected].
K-State Alumni Association members are encouraged to bring their membership cards or download the Association app and show your online card to receive a special members-only gift at the event.
With over 200 K-State fans in attendance last night, we’d say the 2023 Catbacker stop in Dodge City was a success!

You’re invited to join the Dodge City Catbackers for Cocktails with the 'Cats! Join us for appetizers and a cash bar and hear from 2023 Naismith Coach of the Year and Big 12 Coach of the Year Jerome Tang, as well as some of your favorite K-State coaches and student-athletes, and retiring president and CEO of the K-State Alumni Association, Amy Button Renz '76, '86. Plus, get your picture taken with Willie the Wildcat!
There will be an auction of unique K-State collectible items and experiences to benefit the Mike Ahearn Scholarship Fund and provide scholarships for area students headed to K-State in the fall.
