The 2nd quote is what gave me the most pause and remains on my mind. I’ve felt very confused of the purpose of Skincare by Sydney over the past 2 years. It’s a business I didn’t necessarily mean to start and then when I did there was no business plan because “having fun” was my guide… and that only gets you so far.

For 2 years I’ve known it’s time to pivot. Mainly because I can’t be tied to my computer in 1:1 consults. Plus, I realized I was repeating myself and you need continued guidance not just one-off zoom calls.

I’ve been searching for an ah-ha moment that in reality has proven progressive and not as instantaneous as I desire 😅

My motivation is the patients I see in clinic who even with all of the money and time in the world cannot erase sun damage because it's cumulative and the damage is in the dermis. Everything worth having in life takes work so these are seemingly high maintenance things I do that in the long run it helps me keep a low maintenance lifestyle.

I’m Sydney aka Sydney Givens, PA-C in my official day job as a dermatology PA. Since 2017, I’ve prescribed and created treatment plans for patients for all skin conditions.

Back in 2020, I decided it was time to cut through the marketing mumbo-jumbo around skincare and put the power back into your hands by educating and bridging the gap between the three places you’re caring for your skin.
