💫May 6-10 is Teacher Appreciation Week!💫 The Beulah PTO will be recognizing our amazing teachers and staff with some special activities this week at the Hive, and we encourage parents and students to show them some love as well. Here are some ideas!

🐝Yearbooks are in!🐝 They are chock full of memories that your student will treasure for a long time. There’s even a page with teacher/staff baby pics for you to guess who they are - so fun! Special shoutout to our very own 5th grader Carmen G. for designing the cover!💛 We have a limited number of extras ($25 each) so comment below or send us a DM if you want one.

If you pre-ordered a copy and have not received it yet, it will be sent home with your student next week.

I am beyond blessed to serve as the principal of Beulah Elementary!

Today has been filled with so much love, generosity, and kindness! My heart is full! From a decorated office to a desk full of gifts, I have felt the love today!

Thank you to our amazing PTO, students, and staff for making my last Principal’s Day the best one EVER!

People often ask me if I had to start over in my career, would I choose the same path? Without hesitation, the answer is ALWAYS YES! I love what I do… even on the hardest days. It has been an honor and a blessing to be an educator in Douglas County for 30 years! The journey has been amazing!

📝🌟Congratulations to our very own Beulah Bee, Caroline Byers, for being selected as the 4th grade district winner in this year’s Young Georgia Authors Competition!🥇She was recognized at tonight’s school board meeting along with the other grade level winners. Caroline’s story, “The Stray,” will go on to compete with other 4th grade submissions from our local Metropolitan Regional Educational Service Agency (MRESA). Way to go, Caroline!

Tomorrow is the final Black History Month dress-up day - Stoplight Day! Wear red, yellow, or green in honor of Garrett Morgan who invented the three-way traffic signal in 1923. 🔴🟡🟢

Also help us celebrate Black History Month with our program this Friday at 5:30 p.m. Visit with our wax museum participants and learn about some amazing African Americans in our past and present. We will also have musical performances by our talented students and a special guest speaker, DeAna Jo Vivian, from the CT Vivian Foundation. The Foundation focuses on social justice initiatives centered around literacy, education, and the preservation of Black literature and history. We hope to see you at the Hive Friday evening!

{February 1, 2024} The BEES Beta Club had the opportunity to visit the Georgia State Capitol. During the visit, the students did a scavenger hunt through the state of Georgia museum and walked through the House of Representatives gallery to see the representatives at work voting. They met and had photos taken with our local representative Kimberly New and the Peach Princesses of Georgia. They toured the capitol history of Governors, visited the Clerk of the House offices, and went onto the House of Representatives floor to see where lawmakers work. It was an amazing day seeing our State Assembly at work.
