It's been over a year for me since I stopped baking commercially, after 12 years of in front of the ovens. The past 3 weeks I been doing bit of baking on my days off at home. (L,R T,B) Sourdough Boule, Anadama Sourdough Batards and Dinner Rolls, Sponge w/ 13yo Starter, Honey Oat Sourdough.

In less than 2 weeks I will be hanging up my baker's apron for a while. It's been 12 amazing years of baking for some awesome bakeries. But the stress of 12 years of working nights has started running its toll on my mind and body. Looking forward to my new job at Colby's Portsmouth waiting tables, and working days! Thank you so much to Penelope Brewster: Ceres Bakery, Melissa Jasper: The Friendly Toast, Simon Athearn: Morning Glory Farm, Mary Breen: Bread and Roses Baking Co, and Leaven Beer and Bread House for giving me the opportunity to bake you all. It's not really a "job" when you get to do what you love! I will miss the ebb and flow, and coming home smelly of ye**ty goodness, of baking. But I'm looking forward to this next chapter in my life, and getting to spend more time with my family. Also a HUGE thanks to everyone that supported me with Starboard Cove Baking Co. I literally couldn't of done it without you. But know this... It ain't over till the fat lady sings. Love you all!

Come check out what I've been up to, tomorrow at the Kittery Community Market 2-6. I will be there from 4-6! Sadly SCBC will not be doing any markets this year. But you can check out the tasty, 100% sourdough starter (no commercial yeast), breads I been baking for Leaven Beer & Bread House in Somersworth NH. We are at plenty of markets this summer: Durham, Rochester, Kittery (e/o), N. Berwick, & Portsmouth. As always I look forward to baking for all of you!

Exciting news! Earlier today I was interviewed by someone from NHPR doing a report on local CSB programs as part of an audio blog. Parts of the interview will be on either Morning Edition or All Things Considered. When I found out I will let everyone know.

Today would of been our 1 year anniversary. We almost made it!

Last day ... In the night kitchen! I've decided to close down SCBC a couple weeks earlier than planned to spend more time with my family before going full time at my new job, "Leaven" in Somersworth NH.

Thank you to everyone who came out to the markets and shops to buy my goodies. I will truly miss baking for you all. And thank you for helping make my dream come true.

Good morning, New England seacoast. Our kitchen, in the Washington Street Mill, Dover, NH has an opening for a mom-n-pop size food producing company. We have a few restrictions so please contact us at: [email protected].

It is with a very heavy heart that I'm making this announcement. After Thanksgiving I will be closing SCBC for the winter. With things slowing down, it was in my best interest to take a break from SCBC, and took a job baking at Leaven in Somersworth NH. I will be focusing my efforts on baking and setting up a retail menu for them. I am really enjoying my time there and also more time with my family.

It is fitting that my last day baking for SCBC will be doing the Thanksgiving orders, as myself and family have all of you to thank for an amazing year. I never thought that when I started this business in my kitchen 3 years ago, then bringing it to farmers markets and farm stands this summer, that it would of grown as fast as it did.

From the bottom of my heart I thank you and your families for all the support this last year. And I look forward to, hopefully, seeing you all again in the spring time!

We are saddened to announce that SCBC will be unable to move into the new Rollinsford location. But we want to help the person we were going to share the kitchen with by finding someone to move in in our spot. If you are familiar with White Heron Tea it is their old space before moving to Portsmouth. Rent is right around $400 and the space is 1000sf I believe. If you would like more info please PM me.

On a brighter note: We will still be at the remaining Portsmouth Farmer's Markets, and The Winter Kittery Market starting in Dec. and as always we will offering our CSB shares all winter long!
