I took my Zepbound last night and still have an appetite and still feel hunger.

I am eating and honoring my body. Trusting myself and my intuition. We have had decades of diet culture and morality tied into the food we eat and making us second guess everything. I am calling BS and am asking you to do the same 👊

Hunger and eating are not moral processes. Food is fuel. Your brain and muscles need carbs, protein and fat. My worth is not determined by a number on the scale.

The goal is never body dysmorphia or anorexia. Let’s be real and heal our s**t. 💕

My heart melts a little when people tell me, “I’ve done my research. You are the only provider I would trust with medical weight loss” or “You seem so real. I didn’t want some online deal with no human connection”. 🥹💕

May is Mental Health Awareness month

I hope if you struggle with grief, loss, trauma- that you don’t feel alone or completely lost in it. Suffering in silence can feel so lonely. Hearing “Let me know if you need anything” can feel so empty and superficial.

2022: I hit rock bottom physically and mentally
2023: I hit rock bottom financially

It has taken time and I’m still recovering. I have found comfort and support by being completely honest and vulnerable with a couple of close friends.

Social media is a constant fire hose of everyone’s highlight reel. It’s not a true reflection of “life”.

I’m here to be real with you. 6 months without alcohol my brain is much clearer and my relationship with myself has never been stronger. Let’s be badass vulnerable kings and queens breaking the “swept under the rug” and “skeletons in closets” cycles of generations before us. 👊✨🫶

Weight Loss NP turned a big 1️⃣ this week!
One year of helping men and women on their health journey. Finding joy and reducing the risk of adverse health outcomes that obesity can cause. Finding a new confidence to love AND live their best life. I am so thankful for the wonderful people Weight Loss NP has brought to my life. 🙌 We are the best tribe! 💖

Turning 39 last week was surreal. 🥹🩵 There was a part of younger me who didn’t know if I would make it to this age. If genetics would have provided me a different fate. My wonderful Mom was 39 when she lost her battle with leukemia. The fact that she never saw her 40th birthday pains me. I am determined to live this year in wonder, adventure and passion in her honor! 💫

Thank you for doing this crazy thing called life with me! 🫶

It’s a new chair but it’s so much more! 🥰

It’s easy to make assumptions based on things we can see. Social media makes so many aspects of our lives look “picture perfect”. The fact is that no one truly has it all together. Perfection does not exist my friend! 💞

The past year there has been imposter syndrome, doubt, and tears. Broken relationships. Heartbreak. On the other side of that, there has been personal growth and creating a community of women and men supporting one another and our health goals. 🙌

I grew up with things on layaway and hand-me-downs from my cousins. Fact is, I still get hand-me-downs and am so thankful for them. 🥰 This black office chair was a hand-me-down was from a very special family member (she knows who she is! 💖) and today I was like a kid in a candy store picking out this chenille cream-colored chair with a gold base. The fact that I got to pay for it, put it in my car and bring it to Weight Loss NP means so much. I’m a sucker for the little things! Because it’s really about the little things, right? ✨

I believe transparency in all things health related is paramount. It’s also important to be an educated consumer in this challenging economy. 💰

So out of care and concern for you, I’m going to spill the tea in things I’ve learned since I opened Weight Loss NP last year:

🚩 There are several online companies that are offering weight loss injectables. Will you get your meds shipped the next day? Yes! But are their compounding sources safe? DEBATABLE

🚩 My patients who left these online companies and came to me had ZERO support or guidance from a medical provider. What were they paying $600+ a month for?

🚩 They weren’t educated on safe injection techniques or educated on safe sharps disposal. They weren’t even provided a sharps container!

🚩 Providers are marking up compounded weight loss medications by x2, x3 and higher. Local providers. The patients- “I went through a $1,200 vial in 3 weeks.”

There is a reason I keep my overhead prices low and charge $350-$450 a month for weight loss services…because I know these medications are life-changing and I’m on a mission to make them as accessible as I can. 👩‍⚕️ 🫶

I only work with compounding pharmacies that hold themselves to the highest standards, and yes I pay more for it (and charge less) than a lot of other providers….but I will NEVER put a price on my patients safety!
