In January 2022, the IRS will send you Letter 6419 to provide the total amount of advance Child Tax Credit payments that were disbursed to you during 2021.

Please keep this letter regarding your advance Child Tax Credit payments with your tax records.

Do not throw this letter away.

Please wait until AFTER you receive your letter to file your 2021 tax return to avoid any discrepancies or having to file an amendment.

We were able to provide Christmas to 2 families with 3 children through Caring Hearts Helping Hands; give to 10 teenagers & a bag for younger children in the State foster program through DFS; $200 in purchases of needed items for homeless teens through the Pathways for Success program ; Donate to the Food Bank of Delaware.

Congratulations to Caitlyn Ramsey on her recent graduation from Wilmington University. Caitlyn completed her bachelor of science degree in accounting back in May of 2021 but her ceremony took place this past October due to Covid. This is a long overdue "Job Well Done"!

Code Purple Firefly cleanu-up was another great success. Thank you to our staff that came to help with the effort, Jessica Main, Mary Delgado , Larry Delgado, Jennifer Moran, Terri Nellans Brown, Beverly Dean.

Books Bashers had a great showing at the DETurf kickball tournament! We didn’t make it to the playoffs but we’re very close and lost in a tie. We had no big injuries but did have a shoe debacle! Thanks to all who played- a very fun night.

We remember and honor all who lost their lives this day and those whose lives were forever changed.

Modern Maturty Center - Free Rapid Antigen Testing for COVID-19 Free antigen testing. This test involves a self-administered shallow nasal swab.

Our Christmas projects are complete. Thank you to all our staff that donated to these worthy causes. We were able to provide a Christmas for 4 children through Caring Hearts Helping Hands, and 12 teenagers that are in foster care. We also were able to help the Food Bank & help with Thanksgiving dinners at local churches.

Hello Everyone

So today is my 60th birthday and originally I had something very special planned. But as others have had to missed out on celebrations, mine has changed also. So to go with the flow I just had to change up some things and postpone others.

Today I was to cut my hair that is _______________inches long and donate it to Wigs for Kids along with a monetary donation. I have been growing my hair out for ________________years.

I will still donate my hair and have a celebration to raise money for Wigs for Kids at a later time when things are much better.

As I have been blessed over the years for my birthday, I have sent donations to Cape Henlopen Food Basket, Immanuel Shelter and Eagles Nest Church to help those in our community during these extraordinary times.
