Sunday, September 15 with Rev. Kim… “Adults at Play”
What's the silliest, most playful thing you've done lately? Playfulness not only relieves stress, it can be a doorway to spiritual experience: it allows our egos to fall away and lets us become completely absorbed in the moment. Intuition, imagination, openness and creativity are all given free rein when we release our playful selves. We invite you to join us at 10:00 am, to bring more playfulness into your life. Childcare is provided!

Annual Water Communion and & Ingathering. This Sunday! 9/8 at 10:00 am 💧🌊

Please bring a small amount of water that is from (or represents) a significant place, event, or experience of the past year. Water can be from a garden, pond, ocean, sink, puddle, or elsewhere that is meaningful. It may represent a memory of time with loved ones, on a vacation, as a personal milestone, from a challenge, or of a concern. You will have an opportunity to pour your water into a shared vessel of our UUCD community as you share its meaning to you.

And childcare is back! We look forward to meeting your family!

This Sunday, June 9! John Murray's Big Decisions - Rev. Kim Wilson
John Murray is known to Unitarian Universalists today as the founder of Universalism in America. But the fact that his message of the universal love reached us at all is almost a miracle. His is the story of a man whose faith sustained him through ridicule and tragedy, but who became so broken that he sailed thousands of miles to lose himself in the wilderness. His is also a story of what happens when passion is reignited, and it’s ultimately a source of inspiration and hope for all of us.
Childcare is available, coffee hour to follow. Join us!

Sunday, May 12 - Why We Need Pluralism - Rev. Kim Wilson
We now understand how a colonist mentality, with its attitudes of cultural superiority, othering and dominance, has caused immense harm worldwide. But when we are raised in a society with a colonist history, we take as norms what we are taught, and we must be willing to take an honest look at ourselves and our culture in order to identify and evaluate those parts which are part of the problem. An openness to learning more equitable, pluralistic ways of thinking and seeing is critical to our journey toward a more compassionate heart and a more caring world.
We have childcare, plus social time after service. Join us!

All in for Justice – Rev Kim D Wilson

Since our nation's beginnings, not all that long ago, there have been countless Americans who have devoted and sometimes literally given their lives to demand that this country deliver on its founding promises of equality, justice and freedom, insisting that these human rights be extended to all who reside within its borders. Where does the depth of their convictions come from, and how might they inspire us in our own justice work?
