As we kick off NeighborWorks Week, we wanted to share a little bit of the history behind this wonderful organization that we're so proud to be a member of.
Meet Dorothy Mae Richardson, the woman whose advocacy for her community saved her neighborhood in Pittsburgh, Pa. Her work served as the bedrock for what would later become NeighborWorks America, an organization that has helped tens of thousands of families facing housing insecurity throughout the United State and Puerto Rico.

A good realtor is a valuable helper through the homebuying process but some realtors have been taking advantage of people throughout the US. That lead to a series of class-action lawsuits and a groundbreaking recent settlement from the The National Association of Realtors. They agreed to pay $418 million to settle the suits along with agreeing to other changes in how their members do business. But many are saying this may not be enough to appease the Department of Justice and there will likely be many more changes ahead. Stay tuned as we track this story that could affect an important aspect of the homebuying journey!
