๐ฌ And thatโs a wrap! Our final keynote speaker, Tom Erb, brought the art of relationship building to the stage, teaching us the importance of making connections and maximizing client relationships.
๐ Our managers covered all things legal with Mark Baiocchi, and our SCs joined Jared Sylvester to chat about ending your fourth quarter with a bang.
๐ Joni Lampl searched for answers in the crowd while emphasizing the importance of leveraging your past. We concluded our workshop with a panel of GRN pros: Brian Henriksen, Greg Hickman, Cheri Lantz, Jamie Mosberg, and Nino Virga.
๐ Thank you to everyone who attended Global. Give yourselves a round of applause!
CEO Brad Baiocchi introduced the first day of Global with a moment of reflection. Since creating Global Recruiters Network 20 years ago, his vision for the company has remained the same at its core, evolving as our community grows. We discussed what the next 20 years might look like and were left inspired thinking of the opportunities and advances still to come. ๐ญ
We then announced the 2022 Top Performers Awards, with a few winners pictured above. ๐ Congratulations to Tyler Frisbie of GRN McKinney, Jamie Mosberg of GRN Wilmington, Steve Cotone of GRN Stateline, Toiny de Ruijter of GRN Calgary, Andy Kay, GRN Palmetto, and all of the 2022 winners!
Workshop Keynote Speaker Kevin Hallenbeck took the stage to emphasize the importance of creating long-term relationships with businesses. Then, in breakout groups, we discussed strategies to improve large account sales:
๐ Identifying and neutralizing competition โ either internal or external.
โ Customizing your sales process for an enterprise account.
๐ Having more than 1 contact (even if you think you only need one).
Mark Tortorici covered all things AI to prepare our franchisees with the latest tools to gain a competitive edge in sourcing:
๐ก The logistics of incorporating AI as a tool to work more efficiently.
โ Remembering to always question the results.
๐ญGetting specific with Boolean search strings.
๐ GRNers walked away knowing that success is about understanding the compelling reason for someone to change rather than just selling features and benefits.
We rolled out the red carpet for Global Recruiters Network's brightest stars. โจ Global Workshop is where GRNers gather every year to reflect on our common purpose, learn from each other, and strengthen our community across the Network. It was a blast celebrating our first 20 years in business, cheers to the next 20! ๐ฅ
Global Workshop was a blockbuster hit! ๐ฌ GRN welcomed the return of the Leap to Leadership, starring keynote speaker Jeska Brodbeck. She guided us through an immersive experience to demonstrate the practical steps GRNers can take to access Flow State.
After a quick break for lunch, we reflected on the benefits and purpose of activating Flow State in our work:
๐ก Encourage creative thinking
๐ Increase energy savings and productivity
๐ช Build attention muscle
๐ญ Improve memory
Thank you, Jeska, for leaving us refreshed and excited for two more days of learning!

We enjoyed good conversation and good company on the last night of our conference. Before dinner, we cheered on Jeannie Hobar, with special acknowledgment from CEO Brad Baiocchi, on her promotion to Senior Director of Learning and Development. Congrats, Jeannie!
It might have been the last day of The Leap to Leadership conference, but we were energetic and engaged as Sharon Hulce, CEO of Employment Resource Group, Inc., showed us whatโs possible in the executive search and recruiting industry.
Gail Rice offered her perspective on the business, and we closed the conference with a panel discussion featuring Cheri Lantz, Jennifer Chavez, Lindsay Matthews, Michelle Paschal, and Rachel Clay.
It's that time of year again! This year's theme? Looking Ahead.
For the 2023 GRN Regional meetings, we are excited to focus on the Science Behind Sales with Kevin Hallenbeck of Sandler Training. A salesforce development expert, he has consistently helped progressive companies worldwide to increase sales and develop stronger customer relationships using unique, non-traditional sales strategies and tactics. Kevin will help teach our network the Sandler System, which can help our offices grow the business and improve our sales teams.
The Leap to Leadership started early with a presentation and workshop from Kate Johnson, CEO of Grace Camp Consultingยฎ. We loved her discussion about checking in with ourselves and the segment dedicated to coaching us through writing our purpose statements. Kate guided us through individual and shared purposes and had us analyze our lives by asking, "Is this on or off purpose?"
We broke into two groups to give women from our network their chance on the microphone. Cheri Lantz discussed the benefits of a positive mindset, Jessica Cranney and Melissa Latham showed us the importance of branding and marketing campaigns, and Rachel Clay wowed the SCs/SAs with her take on the process.
The Leap to Leadership: From meeting new friends to reconnecting with old ones, we shared our stories on Beethoven's Terrace until well past the last call.
Our first ever Leap to Leadership womenโs conference has officially come to an end!
Thank you to Sharon Hulce for speaking about your industry experience and facilitating a thorough Q&A session.
Special thanks to Gail Rice for her presentation on the recruiting process and our industry experts, Cheri Lantz, Jennifer Chavez, Lindsay Matthews, Michelle Paschal, and Rachel Clay, who shared their thoughts in the panel discussion.
Day one of the Leap to Leadership is a wrap!
We met with intention to co-create our vision, cultivate what matters, and activate forward motion. To set the tone for the day, we spent the morning sharing our individual and collective purposes. Thank you Kate Johnson for sharing your story with purpose and facilitating such a powerful workshop.
A special shoutout to our Breakout Session leaders in the Management Group, Jolie Wilson, Cheri Lantz, Jessica Cranney, and Melissa Latham, who led discussions about leadership, positive mindsets, and branding. Jeannie Hobar and Rachel Clay lead the Search Consultant Breakout Session in case study analysis and an open discussion about building confidence.
We could not be happier with the start of this movement and are excited to see what day two will bring!
