June is National Foster a Pet Month!
Fostering can help free up space in a shelter so more pets can be saved, it can help give pets one-on-one attention to help them decompress, can help a puppy grow & learn so it’s ready to be adopted.. the list goes on! There are many local rescues that are always looking for fosters!

Greetings, I'm Firefly! 🤍

I was found as a stray, and a kind lady started feeding me while she searched for my owners. I was very sweet, and wouldn't leave her yard. After a week, temperatures were starting to drop again, and she didn't want to leave me out in the cold for one more night. I was brought into Help Save Pets while the search for my owners continued. Unfortunately, a happy reunion was not successful. I am now in the search for a new family!

I am a very chatty girl, and will demand pets! I am not a picky eater, and I'm good at using the litter box! Making biscuits is one of my favorite things to do! I am a huge cuddle bug, and have loved everyone I have ever met!

Upon arrival, I was diagnosed with something called Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV). This just makes me much more special! Upon further testing, it looks like I have the regressive form of the disease. This means I have a low risk of developing FeLV-related diseases, and I'm less likely to shed or spread the virus. However, it is still recommended that I be the only kitty in the home. I will need to be indoors only, but I don't mind that one bit! I will require a good diet, and should probably stay away from raw foods. Because of this, I'll be hanging out with my friends upstairs, but you can still schedule a meet & greet!

I have many friends here, but would love a family of my own!

We had a visit from Gravy, a kitten that was adopted here! He’s gotten so big and is such a handsome guy! 🥹 It always makes us so happy to see our former HSP friends!

Kaylei is one of our kennel attendants that has been with us since October and has been a great addition to our team! Her favorite dog breed is the Long Haired Mini Dachshund and she sees herself working with exotic animals in the future! She also enjoys reading in her free time!
