We are sad to announce the passing of Cruz Cueva. Cruz was one of the original employees hired by Roberto and Blanca Leon. His tenure dated back to the Leon's first restaurant in Pasadena, La Fiesta Grande. He would also later join them in opening the Veracruz Restaurants and was part of the staff/family up until his retirement in 2016.

Cruz was known for his infectious personality, his smile, his energy, and his charm, but he was best known for his drinks. He was always the life of the party and always provided a fun time. His contribution to the success of the Veracruz will always be appreciated and will never be forgotten. He will be missed greatly.

Services are to be held in Mexico with his friends and family there.

Our filming date with America’s Best Restaurants is Wednesday, October 23rd, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. We would love to have you join us that day!
