A 1797 Draped Bust Large Cent. Sheldon number 140. This high grade, late die state, example displays the obverse die failure that gives this coin its unique attributes. A really nice early copper from the Fourth issue of United States cents!
This is an 18 Pence Colonial currency note from the state of New Jersey. It is the issue of March 25, 1776. New Jersey Colonial notes are not particularly rare, however, this one is signed by John Hart, Who, 130 days later on Aug. 2, 1776, also signed the Declaration of Independence. Hart was born in Hopewell, NJ on Dec. 21, 1713 and he died on May 11, 1779. In those days the punishment for counterfeiting was death. (See the last photo) Click on the photos for a better view.
This is a series 1901 $10 U.S. Legal Tender note that is known to most collectors as the “Bison” note. The note features a central portrait of a Bison that was engraved by Marcus W. Baldwin. The Bison is flanked by portraits of Meriwether Lewis and William Clark- engraved by G. F. C. Smilie. The note was produced to stimulate interest in the Lewis and Clark Exposition which was held in Portland Oregon in 1905. The Buffalo was believed to be a portrait of “Black Diamond” the animal depicted on the Buffalo nickel but in reality it was modeled after a stuffed Buffalo at the Smithsonian Institute. In 1850 more than 20 million Buffalo roamed The plains. By 1889 the census of animals was only 541 head! This note is one of the most popular collectible antique notes. This particular note grades Extremely Fine and it will not be in stock for long at about $2500.00
One of only 2 known, Walter Durfee, Pattern 8 hall clocks, chiming and striking on 9 tubular bells. This massive clock has an intricately carved, solid Mahogany case of the finest quality. The clock was produced in Providence, RI in 1890. It was sold by the firm of Tilden Thurber. Mr. Durfee is considered to be the father of the modern hall or “Grandfather” clock. This clock is nearly 9 feet tall and 27 inches wide. The glass panels are Waterford lead crystal. It chimes every 15 minutes and strikes the hour. Click on photos for a better view.
A United States Half dollar designed by Charles Barber at the Philadelphia mint. This design was in use from 1892 to 1916. The same design was used on the quarter dollar.

This is a Stock Certificate from the First National Bank of Ambler PA. It was issued on January 10, 1893 to James A Cozens and it represents 10 shares valued at $100.00 each. About one year’s salary for a skilled worker in 1893. It was sold on January 8, 1918 to W. G. Frank - signature guaranteed by the Cashier, W. A. Davis, who was also a prominent Undertaker in town.
