Here’s how to get backpack ready 🎒 👇🏻

Okay! Summer is coming to an end which means…. SCHOOL TIME!! But it also means that I may be seeing more kiddos for back problems because of improper backpack use.

So in order to avoid coming to me for pain management for your kids- here are some tips to get your kiddos to wear that backpack right 🎒 ✅

Backpacks should ideally be no heavier than 10-15% of a person’s body weight. For example, if a person weighs 150 pounds, their backpack should not exceed 15-22.5 pounds.

1. Use both shoulder straps: Always use both shoulder straps to distribute the weight evenly across your shoulders and back. Using only one strap can cause uneven weight distribution and strain on one side of your body.
2. Adjust the straps: Make sure the straps are tightened so the backpack sits snugly against your back. The bottom of the backpack should rest just above your waistline.
3. Use the waist strap: If your backpack has a waist strap, use it to help distribute the weight more evenly and take some of the pressure off your shoulders.
4. Pack smartly: Place heavier items closer to your back and lighter items towards the outside of the backpack. This will help prevent the backpack from pulling you backwards and straining your back and shoulders.

It’s something almost all women experience and it is basically a foreign language to the majority.

I would absolutely say YES! Watermelon is a superfood! And it’s in season right now which is why you should be eating it all the time!

Here’s exactly what it helps with:

Really quick, make sure to follow me for more health tips.

We are in the hottest season of this year 🥵 and because I care about the health for all of my patients I need to send you all a reminder to Drink 👏🏻 Your 👏🏻 water 👏🏻

It’s important to drink at least half your body weight in oz of water every day. So if you’re 150 lbs you need to be drinking at least 75oz of water every day. 💧

That being said, with it being hot as sin you need to up that intake just a little bit because you need to take into account the amount of sweat you’re losing. 😶‍🌫️

It’s been a minute since I’ve been active on here so I wanted to take a minute to introduce myself to you all!

My name is Shanon Nelson, I am a Doctor of Chiropractic and I have been for 25 years now and I LOVE it. I have my own practice in Draper, Utah 🏔️ and have had over 1,000 patents over the years.

I am married to my High School Sweetheart and we have 3 amazing kids together. I love reading, cleaning, learning, walking my dogs and spending time with my kids. I LOVE Disney 🙌🏻

My passion is natural medicine and healing prevention a smart and responsible way.
