telegraph.co.uk Eating chocolate cake as part of a full breakfast can help you lose weight, say scientists.
Go DS swim team!
I'm going to be singing that song all weekend....
Alright little bun buns, tomorrow is the LAST day to order hot cross buns for Friday delivery. Please PM me for an order. Have a great day!
"Improvise, adapt, overcome!" (I'm pretty sure Clint Eastwood was talking about buttercream.)
I'd defend this cupcake, too.
One a penny, two a penny! (well, they're a little bit more than that..:) Place your Easter order now for those hot cross buns.
"Pink hearts, mustaches, and sparkly snowflakes"...that's either my fondant work for tonight or the weirdest Lucky Charms marshmallow combination ever.
Awesome. Awesome to the max. (Kids still say that, right?)
It's raining out, and FYI it's definitely not the time to make meringue. It IS time for random baking facts: Did you know cream of tar tar (an ingredient crucial to stabilizing that fluffy meringue) is found on wine casks? Also know as Potassium bitartrate, it can precipitate out of wine bottles stored below 10 degrees. WHO thought to dry that stuff out and make sweet egg fluff out of it?!
Now, back to that glass(s) of wine.
I've decided that I've discovered a new form of food styling. I don't think I've ever seen anise madelines with a lemon glaze look so ominous. They're just lurking there up to no good, calling you to break your diet and eat them with your morning coffee. Go ahead, order them by the dozen and don't share. They don't judge.
Some may call this sloppy picture taking, others may call it butter fingers on the lens, I like to call this "soap opera" lighting at it's best. How dreamy and dramatic does this spiced pear bundt cake with salted caramel, toasted walnuts and butter cream icing look? Shh...I think it's evil twin has amnesia and a love child!
Sometimes...when I need a little pick me up, I have a bit of chocolate. Lack of moderation is the key.
Things your toddler learns to say to other children when you have a home bake business... "I need those berries/chocolate chips/muffin liners for my work!!".
Having only one ingredient for a hot toddy still makes it a hot toddy, right?
Apparently I'm very good at making fingers of the undead out of cookie dough. They even creep ME out. Maybe that unused psych degree of mine can help me figure out why these are my new favorite cookie. Be the hit of your next Walking Dead party with these guys...
Boo!
Halfway through 1200 chocolate truffles and I've decided that if I ever have to rename my business, it's going to be called "chocolate chaos"...on second thought, that makes a better band name.
Whole Wheat Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookies
Taking a little bake break for some private chef work...but I wanted to leave this here as one of the best cookie recipes I've seen in a while. So totally delicious no one notices if you throw in flax or chia seeds:http://www.eatliverun.com/whole-wheat-peanut-butter-oatmeal-cookies/
eatliverun.com I baked these yesterday to share with our Thursday night community group and they were a huge hit! If you love fluffy oatmeal cookies, you’ll adore these. They’re made with some of my favorite ingredients: whole wheat flour, Greek yogurt, brown sugar, butter, peanut butter and dark chocolate…obvious…
A little Quantum Leap while I finish cinnamon roll and wheat bread orders? Yes, please. It's scientifically proven that Scott Bakula helps bread rise...
Of all the cakes I've done, having grown up with Calvin and Hobbes on my nightstand, this has been my favorite. Bonus 1: putting buttchecks on a baby Calvin. Bonus 2: realizing most of my parenting style is based on Hobbes.
When a grown man wants a confetti cake topped with... eh HEM..."McDowells's" french fries for his birthday, awesome-ness happens. Happy birthday Jason King Addison
Congratulations Melonie and Lem Lewis! It was my pleasure making your wedding cake.
Happy 10 year old skater boy...2 layer cookie cake with sweet cream filling.

Here's a 2 layer chocolate guitar with pistachio filling. Look close and you can see the letters are tooled leather texture. The design is also based on the birthday boys real guitar detail.
