ARE YOU TEAM CAST OR NO CAST!? ➰

The ‘before’ is curls with a cast! Meaning they have a slight hardness and/or crunchiness to them, while the ‘after’ showcases curls with no cast and a much softer look to them.

🌟 Benefits of a ‘curl cast’ are ➡️

• helps create a barrier over the curls during the drying process which helps eliminate frizz

• the barrier created helps with longevity of curls throughout the week making styles last longer

The cast can easily be broken after the drying process. Whether you are diffusing or air drying, once the hair is completely dry you are able to soften up the curls by “scrunching out the crunch”. Or for me personally, I usually keep the cast on my ‘Day 1’ hair and then sleep on it, using my bonnet of course. Then by Day 2 it is soft and perfect! ☺️

Styling is definitely one of my favorite parts about any service because it gives me the chance to educate. I always say that if you prep your hair on Day 1 with the correct product application and techniques, you will get longevity throughout the week. Make your curls fit your lifestyle and not become a lifestyle 🧡

Also I have been OBSESSED with .hair recently! I used their ‘Everything Spray Leave-In Conditioner, followed by ‘Crème Gel Elixir’, and then scrunched in ‘Volumizing Mousse’ then finished with the diffuser!

I love my hair. I love my curls. I love myself in my hair. I just remember little ol me wanting straight hair so bad just to “fit in” and now I think I may have an obsession with my curly hair. And this is why I love what I do. I love getting the opportunity to be the support for today’s little curly girls. 🧡

It’s been an AMAZING curl week for these curls 😍 so I just HAD to share 🧡🧡

To style I used ‘Coil Infusion Priming Milk’ then followed up with the ‘Advanced Climate Control Heat & Humidity Gel - Stronger Hold’

I let the curls air dry for about 15 mins so a slight “cast” is formed over the curls then diffused, mostly upside down on a low speed setting until fully dry.

Can you believe these beautiful curls are the results from shampooing and conditioning then applying styling products!? 🤩 No curl shaping happened this time around!

It makes all the difference when you focus on the application process of styling your curls! Patience is definitely key 🔑 styling your curls shouldn’t have to be your lifestyle it should be able to fit within your lifestyle ❤️

It is always so fun teaching a fellow curly girl new tips and tricks with their hair routine! ➰ This was her first time experiencing a curl specialist and her goal was to just learn. We went over new techniques that she could add into her routine in order to achieve these results as well as add some consistency within styling ❤️

Happy Thanksgiving from my family to yours! This has definitely been one of the hardest years of my life but I am forever thankful for my family, my community and especially my clients! It truly means the world to me the amount of love you’ve all given me through such a difficult time. It never goes unnoticed 🤎

Thanksgiving was my mom’s favorite holiday and I know she would want me to celebrate it to the fullest. Definitely easier said than done but I am doing my best and that is all I can do. 🥺

Today I want to get a little personal. I have battled with my mental health for as long as I can remember and it’s not an easy road. It’s one of the wildest roller coasters a human can experience. So I wanted to take a moment to say if you are battling with mental health, you are not alone!

Some days will always be easier than others, just like most days can be absolute horrid. After losing my mother three months ago, I do find it very hard to “push through”. This time in my life is absolutely a horrid one and it’s not easy to fake it or cover it up. So I am forever grateful for the love and my support system. And my biggest advice to any one battling is please get the help you deserve, work on healing your wounds, surround yourself with genuine love, and most importantly allow yourselves to FEEL and release those feelings.
