"Dear Mike,
I know you're miserable. You go through the motions everyday and keep wondering if it will ever end. You won't even look at your eyes in the mirror anymore, as you no longer recognize who it is staring back at you. I remember all of that, I still think of it everyday. I'm happy to tell you that all of that will end someday, but it won't be in the tragic way that you find yourself considering. There will come a day where you finally accept you've had enough. For a brief, fleeting moment you'll think, 'Maybe I can do this.' and the craziest part of that, is that you will." - Mike

"My dad and I started using together and that's when m**h almost killed me. I ended up in the hospital with my kidneys shutting down. When I left the hospital, I came to MnTC. I used to feel dark and depressed and worthless in my addiction. Once I was here, it turned on a light and now I have hope that I never thought I could have." - Madison, MnTC Graduate
It is not uncommon for addiction to trickle down from one generation to another. Sometimes the people closest to you can be a barrier to sobriety. At MnTC, we understand the challenge of overcoming this hurdle. We have resources available to help you break these cycles.
Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him, and He will act. - Psalms 37:5
Drug and alcohol use is not a long term solution for mental health issues. While the use of drugs and alcohol may give temporary relief to mental health symptoms, substance use will only worsen those symptoms in the long run.

"When I was 10, my father went to prison. At age 11, I tried m**h for the first time, and by age 13, I found myself in a lot of legal trouble. I was sent to juvenile prison where I committed a crime that landed me into some adult time. Prison was a cycle that kept repeating in my life. Once I was out, I went back into my addiction. My fiancé did not want to see me go to prison again, so she filled out an application for MnTC. The court system allowed it, and ever since I came to MnTC, God has changed my heart. I am no longer full of hate. Now, I love myself, I love others, and I love what God has for me in the future." - Bryan, MnTC Client

"My life forever changed when I found out I was pregnant. But after I had my son, it wasn't long before I turned to substances again. I knew I needed to change. As soon as I entered this program, I hit the ground running. I'm so thankful for a program that allowed me to have my son in treatment with me. I got to work on my recovery without the anxiety of wondering what was going on with him outside of here." - Meagan, MnTC Graduate
