Thanks to Creative Loafing Tampa for the (hopefully last) update on it all before this week's final vote codifies what most Dunedin residents and downtown visitors expect, AKA the status quo for Delightful Dunedin.

We are thankful for those that know who and what we are (and have been for nearly 30 years). We have always looked out for our neighbors and we will ALWAYS look out for the heart of Dunedin. 💙

We don't blame any residents who got mixed up in this towards the end through misinformation. As we have since we opened, we welcome all. Even those who disagree with us. We welcome the discourse needed to inform our community, not tear it apart like some want to do. We love all of Dunedin, we just ain't willing to bend the knee on something this critical to our community's well-being.

We want to thank our community, our guests and customers, our fellow businesses, our neighboring residents and locals, fans of live music and art, volunteers for non-profits, the local news media, as well as our City staff, Commissioners, and our Mayor for their efforts to secure the beautiful and vibrant and diverse status quo in Dunedin that attracts so many.

Many who end up returning, some uprooting their entire life to join us here on the coast of Florida in a most unique place. These last months have been existential for us.

Last night, the Commission voted unanimously to approve much needed sound ordinance enforcement clarifications and a majority vote (4-1) to eliminate curfew language from the Outdoor Hospitality Ordinance. This follows recommendations on both changes from the LPA. This is what majority looks like, and what community looks like.

The last stop for these much needed adjustments is the 2nd reading by the commission on Sept 5th at 6pm. Please hold strong, because it isn't over yet!

After that vote, if approved, these changes will protect our downtown nightlife and general quality of life that we have taken for granted for decades as this city continues to grow because of each and every one of us.
