It’s finally cool enough for us to have a 🔥campfire🔥 in the beer garden tonight!! Come on by this evening for the first fire of the season - and we have the perfect beer on tap right now for it!

We got together with our friends at Marker 48 Brewing to brew our Best Florida Beer silver medal winning Maibock called “Must Be Nice” again! The name came out of an inside joke between the owners of Woodwright and Marker 48 about how it “must be nice” to own your own brewery - all you do all day is sit around drinking beer, right?! Right…😂

This is truly a beer for everyone - not much bitterness from the hops, well-balanced toasty malt flavor. It’s a bit strong for a lager so we serve it in 12oz glasses. Overall, it’s a clean and crisp yet flavorful beer that you’ll surely enjoy!

For anyone who doesn’t know the story of the old red truck you see around the brewery all the time, here it is in Grant’s own words:

“Grant bought this 1977 F150 in 1994, the year before acquiring this old shop and founding The Dunedin Woodwright. He wanted to buy a 1969 Camaro, but needed a truck.

Not only did this old Ford serve the woodworking business, it helped Grant build or remodel countless houses all over the Bay Area. It even helped him build several cabins in the Appalachian Mountains. But most importantly, it picked up the love of Grant’s life. In July 1995, Grant took Eunice out on their first date in this truck.

While other cars & trucks have come & gone, and other properties have come & gone; this truck, this building, and the love of Grant’s life are all still here and eventually led to Eunice brewing the beer in your hand.

Stats: 1977 F150 Custom Short Bed 4x4, original 300ci In-line 6 (little horsepower - loads of torque), original 4 speed manual with a “granny gear” (start in 2nd because 1st is for pulling), original transfer case with 4 high & 4 low.”

On Thursday, our weekly bluegrass open jam - known as Pickin' Splinters Bluegrass Open Jam hosted by Hal Meyers - will be from 7-10pm in the beer garden!

Friday, Ever Be Music will be performing in the beer garden from 7-10pm!

And finally on Sunday, we’ll have Steve Shabala playing in the beer garden from 2-5pm, as well as our monthly Drafts & Crafts at Woodwright meetup in the shop from 2-5pm! Drafts & Crafts is a casual hangout in the shop with fellow creators every third Sunday from 2-5pm. Come as you are, grab a drink, and work on your current projects or start something new.

We have a whole bunch of festive events planned throughout this holiday season! We’ll be posting about each of them in the next couple of weeks (though feel free to check out our website and/or our “Events” tab on Facebook for all the details now!) and we are starting with our holiday movie series! The shop is all decorated for the holidays and we heard there’s even a chance of snow during the movies!

First up, we have Gremlins (Movies in the Shop) next Wednesday (November 20), followed by National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (Movies in the Shop) on Wednesday December 4, and finally wrapping up with Elf (Movies in the Shop) on Wednesday December 18. Doors open at 6:00pm, movie begins at 7:00pm for all three.

The Duneatery will be open in the beer garden as well for you to enjoy dinner with the movie!

We will have select beers on tap in the shop, as well as some wine and canned cocktail/seltzer options.

All of these movies are free to come watch with us, but we are offering the ability to reserve a seat for National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation by pre-purchasing drink tickets. It was SO popular when we showed it last year that it was standing room only within 15 minutes of the doors opening! If you want to take advantage of reserving a seat by pre-purchasing drink tickets, these are $20 (plus tax) – you will receive two drink tickets at the door, each good for the cost of one beer ($8 value each). This also covers your tax and tip on those first two beers. If you’re not a beer drinker or just not in a beer mood that evening, you may also put those drink tickets towards any other beverage option we have available. Pre-purchasing these drink tickets reserves your seat. If we have any seats left the day of, they will be first-come, first-served.

We also have a limited number of 4-person tables available at the same cost per person.

Brrr, can you feel that chill in the air? (We know - but just pretend with us, ok?) That can only mean one thing here at Woodwright…if you know, you KNOW! We’re hard at work this week on our annual arboreal alteration, our coniferous conversion, our tree transformation!

We have some great music lined up in the beer garden this weekend to celebrate our start to the holiday season, so join us to get in the spirit!

On Saturday, Jess Bevilacqua will be leading another Yoga in the Shop from 12-1pm - $20 at the door gets you a one-hour, all-levels flow and your first beer after class!

And finally, we’ll wrap the weekend up with a Sunday Funday featuring Jacob's Well playing in the beer garden from 2-5pm!

We’re absolutely shivering with antici….pation for this Halloween weekend! We measured the shop and crunched some numbers and managed to fit just a few more seats in for this Saturday’s The Rocky Horror Picture Show LIVE with Hell On Heels! This is your absolute last chance to get a ticket for this incredible show. For those lucky enough to score tickets, doors to the shop will open around 7:15 with the show beginning at 8. Costumes are highly encouraged (not just for Saturday either - we want to see your best Halloween attire Thursday and Friday too)!
