• Your Dunmore Bucks (No. 6 seed) will hit the road up the O’Neill Highway to visit the Spartans of Mid Valley Secondary Center (No. 3 seed) in two days from now (Wednesday, February 21, 2024) in the opening round of the 2024 PIAA District 2 Class AAA Boys 🏀 Championship Tournament with the tip-off set for 7:00 PM EST at Mid Valley High School in Throop.

Congratulations go out to Victoria Toomey, the daughter of Dunmore head girls basketball coach Carrie Toomey, on a fantastic playing career at Rider University and the University of Scranton this season. The Lady Royals clinched a first round bye and the No. 2 seed in the upcoming Landmark Conference Women’s Basketball Tournament which is scheduled to start on Tuesday. 💙❤️🦌🏀

Decisive Fourth Quarter Run Leads No. 5/8 Lady Royals Past ETown on Senior Day, 67-58 - University of Scranton SCRANTON, Pa. – The No. 5/8 University of Scranton women's basketball team (23-2, 16-2 Landmark) used a 22-7 fourth quarter run to notch a 67-58 victory over the Elizabethtown Blue Jays (18-7, 14-4 Landmark) on Senior Day on Saturday afternoon at the John Long Center in Scranton.

Here are the results from last Saturday’s Lackawanna League Junior High 🤼 Championships at Abington Heights High School in Clarks Summit:

• Josef Wolff placed fifth in the 138-pound division
• Logan Miller placed sixth in the 190-pound division

— Josef Wolff also took a 5th Place finish at the District 2 Championships at Berwick the following day on Super Bowl Sunday.
