The new meaning behind S and L
I have wanted to do a little rebrand for a while: I just haven’t loved the name anymore. I came up with it because my sister Savannah and I (hence S and L) were making dog collars and bandanas but after I moved states (and fell in love with crocheting) we decided it was too hard to run the little business 800 miles apart.
So after thinking about it and many conversations with friends, I decide to not completely rename but just find a new meaning behind the words. This past year I learned the beautiful art of silversmithing and also fell in love. I wanted a name that would incorporate both of my beloved hobbies: crocheting and silversmithing. So here we are!
Silver and Loom✨
You’ll start to see a little more silver on this page but I’m excited to share both of my hobbies (and maybe some more) with all of you!❤️
Artist and the art✨
I haven’t been super active on here lately. A lot of living and learning happening off the screen. 2023 was a wild ride but so much fun! Tried new crochet projects (a lot of free hand which is my personal favorite), traveled a ton, and learned a new skill- silversmithing!
Thanks to the amazing Chayse I was able to find a whole new outlet for my creativity. It’s been such a joy to learn something new❤️
Here’s to 2024!🎉
In recent years I’ve gotten more familiar with sustainability. I used to think that it was just for the extreme, but then I realized it can be practiced in small and simple ways. Being a maker I try to use everything I can so I don’t waste supplies, but now it’s become fun to see how much I can re-use scraps.
Small businesses can be a lot more sustainable than big box stores, so as a small business I encourage you to ask them about their practices! To other small business, I encourage you to look at your current practices and see where you can make some changes! It doesn’t have to be anything crazy! Just something small like re-using scraps.
I talk more about this on my latest blog (link in bio and story)
✨NEW BLOG✨
If you’re anything like me you live shopping for handmade/custom gifts for your loved ones but might not always know what to get them.
Here are three tips to keep in mind while you shop:
1. Find something they can wear. Something like a hat, sweater, socks, or scrunchy!
2. Something they’re obsessed with.
Are they a Star Wars fan? Do they play video games? Find something like a handmade stuffed animal or a figurine of their favorite character.

Does anyone else think it’s crazy how stores are already prepping for Valentines? Or are you excited for it already?

Loving my new earrings holder from !! The cloud shape is so aesthetic and more fun than most earrings holders I’ve seen.

It’s finally starting to feel a little bit like fall!❤️🍁🍂
How’s the weather where you are? The past couple of days have been cool and rainy but today was beautifully sunny!🌻
The great debate: when is it acceptable to post fall/pumpkins?
When the weather starts changing (which it’s not)? Middle of September? First of September?
What do you think?😂🥧🎃
I thought I should take some time to introduce myself! My name is Lexi and I am currently going to college for Entrepreneurship and Small Business (coincidence? I think not😉). I absolutely love and always have loved making things. Gifts for family and friends were my specialty. When I was little I tried so many times to make my own stuffed animals, but after fights with my sewing machine I gave up. Until two Christmases ago I was gifted some crochet hooks (thanks Monty!) Now I am able to make those old dreams come true, while getting to share my creations with others!
I want to say thank you for following and supporting my journey! I make everything to the best of my ability and I believe this is be a small reflection of how our Lord made each and every one of us! Fearfully, wonderfully, and with perfect attention to detail (Psalm 139:13-16).
I’ll keep this short for now, but if you want to read more visit the “Our Story@ page on my website! (The link is in my bio)
