It's ! The A Portella comes from Valdearros, which is located in the Northwestern region of Spain not too far from the Portugal border. Although the region is typically well-known for its white wines, we are partial to this natural red with its core of red fruit and distinct mineral and floral notes. This wine gives us a glimpse of the the high elevation and generous sunshine that you'll find where it is grown.
We couldn't be more excited for the 2024 and 2025 wedding season! If you are recently engaged, our garden and courtyard make a lovely setting for small and medium sized weddings and events. The Rochester is typically reserved 6 to 12 months in advance, so we encourage you to head to the events page on our website for more information and to fill out our event questionnaire.

Each year, hundreds of thousands of people are drawn to the Durango area to visit Mesa Verde National Park. For 700 years the Ancestral Pueblo people built homes and communities in cliffs and along the mesas now preserved in the park. Today, the park is a World Heritage site, a window to the past for visitors, and home to several species of animals that can't be found anywhere else in the world.
Although the park is open year round and only about an hour drive from The Rochester, we recommend checking the weather conditions on the National Park's website and be sure to reserve tickets in advance for a tour of the Cliff Palace and Balcony House.

This lovely 2016 bottle comes from 100% Sangiovese grapes. In the glass, it’s a gorgeous garnet red moving to pink at the rim, and has a nose of wild cherries, red currants, blood orange, bay leaves, rose petals, and dusty earth.
Stop by The Rochester between 3 pm and 9 pm to have a glass of this fabulous .
We have three different seating areas for our guests to enjoy. The Nebbiolo is all the rage right now in Italy, and we have a wonderful bottle for you to try on our curated list of natural wines. This grape comes from the northern region of Italy called Lombardia or Lombardy, known for its soaring Alpine peaks.
The Alps to the north protect Lombardy's vineyards from intense storms and Lake Como to the southwest offers mild breezes, which contribute to the valley of Valtellina's unique growing conditions where the Nebbiolo grape grows on over 2000 acres.
The Nebbiolo grape has bright aromatics of violets, cherries, white strawberries and dried, wild herbs. Come by and see us daily between 3pm and 9pm to try this Italian favorite.
