For all you Brookie-O lovers, you’re finally getting a Brookie-O ice cream cake! This cake starts with a base of butter-Oreo crust. Then we layer it with loads of our Brookie-O ice cream and top it with brownie chunks, cookie dough, and Oreo pieces. (HEAVEN.)

DF/GF friends, you get a cake too! Our Non Dairy Christmas Cookie Ice Cream Cake starts with a base of gluten free shortbread crust. Then we layer it with loads of non dairy Christmas Cookie ice cream and top it with shortbread crumbs and holiday sprinkles.

🚨It’s a new month with customer-voted favorites returning to the August menu! Introducing our Greatest Hits Series:

•Brookie-O- A vanilla base with chunks of housemade brownies, cookie dough, and Oreos.

•Coffee Cookie Monster- Created by 3rd grader Jaxson from our kid chef series, a coffee base with cookie dough, Oreos, and a chocolate fudge ripple. 

•Earl Grey Lemon Cookie Dough- A twist on the classic “London Fog” drink.  We use uber-quality black tea with hints of bergamot and lavender and add chunks of Southern Sugar lemon cookie dough.

•Peanut Butter Cookie- A peanut butter base with studs of fresh baked vanilla-peanut butter cookies. 

•Peach and Blue Corn Cookie- Fresh peach studded with chunks of Union Special blue cornmeal sugar cookies. 

•Non Dairy Christmas Cookie- An oat-vanilla base with crushed gluten free shortbread cookies and holiday sprinkles.

🔍Officially solving this Greystone mystery..

Many of you know, we did all of our company’s ice cream production out of the kitchen at Greystone. (For 7 years!) As our shop count expanded, catering grew, and we added concession locations, we quickly outgrew that tiny Greystone kitchen.

In our search for the right production space, we had an opportunity to take over the old dry cleaner in Greystone’s shopping center (next door to on the end of the shopping center). We moved all of our ice cream machines, kitchen tools, ingredients, and production people down a few doors— and now we have a much larger space for our ice cream kitchen!

We’re calling it “The Ice Cream Hatchery”, where hundreds of our tubs are made every week, with the hope of one day also including the community in this space for classes and parties.

Are you a Greystone regular wondering what The Ice Cream Hatchery was doing in the old dry cleaner spot? Well, now you know. 😉

Celebrate National Ice Cream Day at our Two Roosters Ice Cream Truck Rodeo! We’ll be set up in Greystone from 1-8pm with five different ice cream options to enjoy:

•Waffle Cone Nachos: A scoop of ice cream, a handful of waffle cone chips, and a toppings bar
•Ice cream sandwiches: choice of Cookie sandwich with vanilla, or Brownie sandwich with vanilla
•Ice cream pizza slice: Oreo crust with vanilla ice cream and topped with cookie dough, sprinkles, and fudge
•Sorbet floats: Choice of 1) Strawberry Champagne Sorbet + Sprite, or 2) Raspberry Lemonade Sorbet + Sprite
•Throwback 4-flavor Flight: Bringing back some of the super-OG flavors- Butterscotch Haystack, Java Brownie, Whiskey Pecan, and Key Lime Gingersnap

TICKETS: Only being sold on-site the day of the event. Upon arrival, come to our ticket table to buy an entry ticket. 1 ticket for $10 or 3 tickets for $25. Tickets will be exchanged for ice cream items at the trucks to keep the lines moving quickly.

Looking for a unique way to spend a Saturday?

On July 20, we’ll be hosting a petting zoo of animals from at our shop in Durham!

Animals will include a mini cow, mini horse or donkey, mini goat, mini pig, rabbits, chickens, and a mini llama or alpaca. 🥹 They’ll be set up from 4-6pm.

Guests coming for the petting zoo will receive an entry ticket after purchasing ice cream. Our staff will collect tickets at the petting zoo entrance.

Even though our Cary shop won’t officially be open yet, we’ll still be bringing the party to ! On 7/16, we’ll be set up on the green selling our ice cream with tons of free inflatables.

There will be two bounce houses with slides, another classic bounce house, an inflatable basketball game for shooting hoops, and yard games (co****le and giant Connect 4) 🎉 All set up from 2-9pm.

We’ve crafted a special Midnight Movie flavor- popcorn ice cream with a caramel swirl, M&Ms, and Heath bar chunks. (Available to order from 9pm-2am) “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” will start at 10pm on an outdoor movie screen with a BYOChair situation 😉 Come dressed in full Harry Potter gear and we’ll hook you up with a free butter beer! When said his tattoo art is usually bright and bold AND that his favorite snack is Frosted Animal Crackers, the ice cream basically made itself.

We hope you’ve loved Logan’s Frosted Animal Cracker ice cream flavor this month: a pink-vanilla base with frosted animal cracker pieces and sprinkles. We loved it so much we made it into our featured June ice cream cake! It’s bright and fun and makes us happy scooping it for y’all.

Meet Brian Harris of Phoenix Tattoo, tattooing in the Raleigh area since 2001.

Brian leans heavily on his personal interests in music, books, and plants to create designs inspired by those categories. He also told us people sometimes kid him for his taste in “old man candy”.

Since Brian does a lot of floral and botanical tattoos, we decided to create a lavender ice cream with crushed maple honeycomb candy. A recent DM said, “I have brought every family member to try that flavor and we are all obsessed!”

If you haven’t tried it (and brought every family member), then make a plan to change that. A huge thank you to Brian Harris for partnering with us this month!

How does Clinton Gifford’s ice cream flavor reflect his tattoo art?

Clinton creates art that’s bold and vibrant with some heavy, dark tones. He told us he likes to combine interesting ideas to make new images, which is why a Non Dairy Chocolate Mango seemed like a great fit. This flavor is a coconut mango base with flakes of dark chocolate shavings.

A crowd favorite from this month’s Tattoo Artist line up?? Jessica Lanahan’s Peanut Butter Cup 🔥

We asked what type of ice cream her art would be and she said:

“Mostly vanilla with a little chocolate and peanut butter thrown in and sometimes a surprise peanut butter cup… I tend to keep an illustrative style black and grey but I also like to branch out and try different things creatively speaking. All the styles meld together and taste great together no matter what.”

And with that, a Peanut Butter Cup flavor was born. We added crushed Reese’s cups to a vanilla base and made sure to drizzle peanut butter sauce throughout. If you’re into Reese’s- this is the one to try on your next visit! Thanks for partnering with us, Jessica! 🙌🏼
