Oberyn needs an excellent home! He is housetrained, well socialized, snuggly, chill, and wonderfully bred. Dad is a titled AKC show dog who was nationally ranked and mom is a distant cousin to the 2020 Westminster winner.

A couple of things:

My adorable little standard poodle Sonnet is expecting by my Grand Champion poodle Huey, so this will be a fantastic opportunity for clients and their friends to get purebred standard poodle puppies from amazing bloodlines. Please contact me asap to get on the waiting list, and we are going to need lots of newspapers.

Also, despite 90% of my clients telling me my prices are very reasonable and I should raise them, I have been reamed out several times recently for charging more for dogs in such condition that I had to go over base price. It is not fair to charge the same for a dog with 5 months of matted hair as for a dog in pristine condition because it is on a 4 week schedule. I would welcome everyone to shop other salons' prices, which invariably start higher than mine and upcharge for every single little extra service. I know a groomer who starts Yorkies at $95 and standard poodles at $250, and she is fully booked. That is all.

This was a first, but I still need to emphasize some things. I do not communicate with clients by text because I only have a personal cell phone, though I can use Facebook messenger. I do not demand prepayment to guarantee appointments, and I certainly would never ask for pictures of a client's credit card. Finally, if you are a sorry SOB who would try to scam a lady, you should know that NC does not charge tax on services. I hope you get butt tumors.

Our last increase was nearly 5 years ago, so we're going to be ringing in the New Year with new prices!

These adorable, healthy kittens are looking for wonderful homes! We have a tabby girl, a tortie girl, and a serious tabby boy. All are feleuk/FIV negative, vaccinated, dewormed, and will be fixed soon. Let us know if you or someone you know is interested! Visitors and admirers welcome.

We had the most perfect difficult dog today. I love this kind. His previous groomer was honest about his behavior, his mom told me everything about him and his opinions, and she totally understood if I didn't want to deal with him. He was absolutely predictable, he needed to be muzzled for some parts of grooming, and he was lovely for other parts. We were friends at the end and he was not overly stressed. I would gladly see him him again. We see a lot of difficult pets who hate parts of the whole process but as long as we are still friends and they want to come back, all is good.

You are the center of your dog's universe. You have that distinction for all the time he is in your home. I'm sure it is flattering that he is so excited to see you that he is willing to risk life and limb to get to you while I am trying to finish his haircut. This is distracting and dangerous, and since I am not Zaphod Beeblebrox with an extra arm, I lack the extra hand to feed him treats while he claws me bloody in his desire to get to you.

INDY Week Best of the Triangle 2021

Mother of Dog, a client told me we are a finalist in the Independent Best Of The Triangle Durham Dog Groomer for the third time. We thank all of our wonderful clients for thinking so highly of us and appreciate your support.

I'm going to be on a much needed vacation next week. A trusted friend will care for the kitties. A policeman will watch my salon. I'll be working like a maniac this week. I'll work like a maniac when I get back. Fear not, it's dog hair and you want your coveted groomer fresh and happy. 🥰
