Join the Durham Community Safety and Wellness Task Force (CSWTF) this Saturday, October 28th from 2-4pm at Holton Resource Center (401 N. Driver St.) for the unveiling of task force recommendations and an opportunity to engage in discussions with your neighbors about how to make Durham a place where every resident can thrive.
The City of Durham, Durham County, and Durham Public Schools established the CSWTF in 2021 as a response to calls for more community voices in safety and wellness policy design and for more public resources to be invested in pillars of lasting peace rather than more punishment and incarceration. After two years of hosting listening sessions with our neighbors in small groups, town halls, surveys, and in one-on-one conversations, the task force is releasing a final report detailing findings and recommendations for improving safety in our community.
Come celebrate the safety and wellness work to come in our city. Light refreshments and Spanish/English interpretation will be provided.
