CANDOR 2024 Virtual Conference
November 13th - 15th
Trangressing Neuronormative Relationships
Neuronormative relationship structures demand an expectation of equal exertion over equity of connection. This is often exclusionary and can separate Autistic, Neurodivergent, and Disabled individuals from lasting bonds. Community is an integral aspect of the survival and thriving conditions of disabled individuals. This conference will provide an overview of navigating relationships outside of the current societal structure. The goal is to foster understanding and stress the importance and value of creating space for varied experiences in interrelations. This conference has been designed by Autistic people and centers own-voices presenters.
Registration opens September 23rd

Introducing....CANDOR!
For the past several months, our staff has been working together, reflecting, and imagining. Through that work, it became clear we needed a new name - one that represented who we are and how we want to be.
CANDOR means open and honest expression, frankness. Candor is a word that means truth. It is also a word that connects with an energy of sharing knowledge directly.
Because CANDOR is about open and honest expression, we felt that this word is also a way to show how we feel about sharing our identity, whether it be our Neurodivergent/Autistic/Disabled identity or our Q***r identity or any other part of ourselves. Candor speaks to un-masking and to living authentically in our identity.
And! Candor is an Autistic trait!
CANDOR is also an acronym - Chronically-ill, Autistic, Neuro-Eclectic, Organization for Reclamation.
We are here to reclaim space and identity - to actively confront the misconceptions, stereotypes, and stigma associated with Autstic, Neurodivergent, and Disabled identities that grow from ableist roots - and to cultivate healing and joy as an act of resistance.

Our store, Part & Parcel, is having to relocate unexpectedly due to the redevelopment of the property adjacent to our current location. A road has been installed that blocks entry to our store. We have a new location, which is amazing, and gives us more space for the store and to run our programs, but the cost of the move is tremendous. Please consider donating to help us make this transition. Thank you!
