Patrick Landeza, the first mainland-based artist to win the prestigious Nā Hōkū Hanohano award, once said, “Being born and raised on the mainland never made me any less Hawaiian.”

Having learned slack key guitar from his family and masters like Raymond Kāne, Cyril Pahinui, George Kuo, and Dennis Kamakahi, Landeza is a celebrated instructor and performer. He has taught nationwide, published lessons in Acoustic Guitar Magazine, and authored the children’s book “Danny’s Hawaiian Journey.”

Patrick’s dedication to cultural education and his aloha spirit have earned him numerous accolades, including the Hawaiian Music Award and a performance at Carnegie Hall.
