Hi Everyone, It has been awhile since I've posted anything. I apologize for that. Yes I'm still here... Haven't retired yet..It turns out that campcharlie.com website has been down since the beginning of May. Sadly we were unaware of the problem.. It is back to being active now... We have been in the process of remodeling and doing your typical 20 year maintenance, like a new new roof and new energy efficient heating system. Im still planning to retire and sell Camp Charlie, but it's important to me that the business continues. And continues with an ownership that is like minded. So if you know anyone that may be interested, feel free to contact me. 206-755-5664

So we have an update on ULLR The family has asked me to wait a couple of weeks on rehoming him. Their hope is that a friend or family member will take him. The owner is still with us, however if he survives he will never be able to care for Ullr. Their thoughts are that it might be nice to have Ullr around to visit him from time to time.. UllR was all that he had!! It's all so sad! As far as Ullr goes... he is doing well... he has been staying on my house side with my dogs... he seems to have made himself at home and my dogs like him... during the day he has been hanging out with the kennel dogs and playing.. All in all he seems to be a happy dog again.

The attached pictures and video you see here are of ULLR (Ooler). ULLR is a golden lab who recently lost his owner due to a tragic freak accident.. He is about 4.5 years old and neutered.

My friend, the brother of ULLRs Dad, and I are hoping we can find him a new forever home. Right now URRL is staying with me at Camp Charlie. What I can tell you about ULLR is that he is friendly with other dogs but hasn’t had much time for socializing but is doing great with all the dogs here at Camp Charlie.

He and his Dad had a super tight bond. They went everywhere together.. even to work each day. He likes people but seems to be a bit cautious with new people but warms up, don’t see any big concerns with that.

He’s been here for a few days now, and is happy to play with the other dogs, and loves to retrieve sticks.He is a happy joyful dog with a big smile on his face. To be honest, I think he is worried about his future. He was with his Dad for several days before being found by the ER. I have no doubt ULLR will make a great pet once settled in with his new forever home.

So far his recall isn’t the best, but then maybe that’s to be expected, and with consistency of a new home and play time together it will improve. I think he would do best in a home with a fenced yard. Also I’m told he doesn’t like cats.

HEY EVERYONE!!! Many of you have heard that I have retired or was planning to. Just wanted to let you know that due to the current economy I have decided to postpone my retirement. So with that said, Camp Charlie is still open. We have down sized some so we are now even more personable with the care of your dogs then we we were before. We are still doing daycare but now only Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Boarding is as usual seven days a week. I hope you and your dogs are doing well through these changing times..
