Our summer library program for all ages has concluded. We loved hearing about all the awesome things that you did this summer (there was LOTS of beach time logged) Special thank you to the Friends of the Duxbury Free Library for funding our programs and prizes. Also, we would like to thank all the kid volunteers this summer who helped with programs, from dressing as Candyland characters, to posing stuffed animals for the sleepover pictures, to testing an escape room, to judging the Lego contest. We hope you all had a great summer.
Congratulations to our "The Great Outdoors" Lego Contest winners for 2024! Winners can come pick up a Rock Paper Scissors Toy Store or Farfar's Danish Ice Cream Shop gift card at the library kids desk. Thank you to our volunteer kid judges and to the Friends of the Duxbury Free Library for sponsoring our prizes.

New story walk is up for the months of Sept-Oct. We are featuring "Not So Ghoul" by Karen Yin (Author), Bonnie Lui (Illustrator) "On her first day haunting a new school, all Mimi has to wear are old Chinese gowns from her great-great-great-great-great-ghost-grandmother. She wants to look horrifying and rattle chains with the cool American ghouls at school, but her ghost ancestors insist she dress and behave like a good Chinese ghost. Desperate to fit in and find a middle haunting ground between her cultures, she plans a ghastly new look. But she questions whether her haunt couture is a fabulous fright or a grave mistake when her family finds out, and another ghoul at school appropriates her Chinese fashion."
We can't believe it either but make sure everything is logged in by Saturday Aug 17 at 5pm (Especially the kids logs which must be returned in person). Prize winners will be notified next week.

This is our LAST week of our summer library program!
This Thursday! The Voices Unheard Ensemble will be holding an open rehearsal here at the library in preparation for their performance with us later on in the month. An open rehearsal is a great opportunity for kids (and adult) to learn from professional musicians and get a peak behind the curtain to the world of music performance!
