Our Mission as a nonprofit organization is to offer financial support, resources, and assistance to individuals affected by cancer in Northwest Indiana. Patients undergoing cancer treatment may require financial assistance for everyday expenses such as transportation, childcare, groceries, or utilities. We offer assistance for these needs to help alleviate the physical & emotional strain that financial burdens place on patients & their families.

Thank you to Mrs Lauren Andree, Mrs. Jessica Lichtenfeld, & their 3rd grade students at Beiriger Elementary School in Griffith! These determined, crafty, and compassionate youngsters worked extremely hard to make 1000 origami paper cranes. Inspired by the story of "Sadako & the 1000 Paper Cranes", the student donated their creations to our patients; hoping to bring smiles to their faces and offering a wish for good health!

When you mention the name, Loris Vander Velde, to anyone at Northwest Cancer Centers, a smile comes to their face. She is an extraordinary example of how we can live our lives to the fullest, no matter what challenges life puts in front of us. Her perspectives on life, family, and what is really important is a lesson to us all.

Early detection of Ovarian Cancer assists in the best possible treatment results. The most common symptoms of ovarian cancer include bloating, pelvic or abdominal pain, feeling full quickly, & urinary urgency.

May is Bladder Cancer Awareness Month. Bladder cancer is the fourth most common cancer diagnosed in men, and men are four times more likely than women to develop it. The incidence for white males is two times higher than the incidence for Black, Hispanic, or Asian Pacific men. The most common type starts in the cells that line the bladder, and smoking is the most significant risk factor. www.nccindiana.com

Some men may experience early signs and symptoms of testicular cancer. While many of these symptoms can be caused by something other than cancer, seeing your physician about any unusual symptoms you are experiencing may lead to earlier, more effective treatment.

The average age of testicular cancer diagnosis is 33. This disease largely affects young adults & middle-aged men. Seeing your doctor about any unusual pain, swelling, or lumps can lead to lead to earlier and more effective treatment.

Esophageal cancer is more common than many people realize. According to the American Cancer Society, the lifetime risk is about 1 in 127 men and 1 in 434 women in the US.

PLEASE JOIN US IN THANKING Audrey Turley, Emilia Massey, Alexis Rachau, and NWI Youth Women Activist 13 group! For the past 3 months they’ve been tirelessly fundraising and preparing comfort bags for patients at Northwest Cancer Centers.
Working together with brave family members and friends who shared their insights as breast cancer survivors, they designed comfort bags with items to benefit our patients.
Their kindness and compassion shines through in every thoughtful gesture, and we're incredibly grateful for your commitment to making a positive impact.

Patricia Drennan: Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML) "I remember being in such pain that I asked a nurse to let me die.” But Patricia persevered with the strength that had served her well all her life.

THANK YOU to the amazing students of Hanover Middle School's Junior National Honor Society! They organized a schoolwide 'Pink Out Day' where participating students donated a dollar to the Northwest Cancer Centers Foundation. With 227 students joining in, they raised both awareness & funds to support cancer patients in Northwest Indiana!
