Our Mission as a nonprofit organization is to offer financial support, resources, and assistance to individuals affected by cancer in Northwest Indiana. Patients undergoing cancer treatment may require financial assistance for everyday expenses such as transportation, childcare, groceries, or utilities. We offer assistance for these needs to help alleviate the physical & emotional strain that financial burdens place on patients & their families.

Thank you to Mrs Lauren Andree, Mrs. Jessica Lichtenfeld, & their 3rd grade students at Beiriger Elementary School in Griffith! These determined, crafty, and compassionate youngsters worked extremely hard to make 1000 origami paper cranes. Inspired by the story of "Sadako & the 1000 Paper Cranes", the student donated their creations to our patients; hoping to bring smiles to their faces and offering a wish for good health!

She is an extraordinary example of how we can live our lives to the fullest, no matter what challenges life puts in front of us. Early detection of Ovarian Cancer assists in the best possible treatment results. May is Bladder Cancer Awareness Month. Bladder cancer is the fourth most common cancer diagnosed in men, and men are four times more likely than women to develop it. The incidence for white males is two times higher than the incidence for Black, Hispanic, or Asian Pacific men. The most common type starts in the cells that line the bladder, and smoking is the most significant risk factor. www.nccindiana.com

Esophageal cancer is a cancer of the tube that runs from the throat to the stomach (esophagus). Smoking and poorly controlled acid reflux are significant risk factors for esophageal cancer. Early detection can lead to a better chance of recovery. For more information visit www.nccindiana.com
Esophageal cancer is more common than many people realize. According to the American Cancer Society, the lifetime risk is about 1 in 127 men and 1 in 434 women in the US.
