I believe in lifelong learning and providing as much value to others as possible. This has lead me to attend the CAPPA conference this weekend. It’s great to recharge with fellow doulas and gain more education.

It's World Breastfeeding Week!
Ok, I'm late to the game with this post. It's actually the second to last day of World Breastfeeding week. I ended up reading some pretty interesting info about human milk and melatonin production & wanted to share.
The overview is that human milk contains melatonin and in varied amounts through out the day. Milk produced in the evening and overnight contains more than in the early morning and start of the day.

Happy Birthmother’s Day!

Birthmother’s Day is recognized the Saturday before Mother’s Day every year, significant because the motherhood of a birthmother comes before the motherhood of an adoptive mother.

(I apologize for almost forgetting to post this.)

I will forever be grateful for the birthmothers that have touched the many lives in my family. Adoption and Mother’s Day bring on many complex emotions for so many. I acknowledge this wholeheartedly.
