I finished the Utah spartan 10k in 2hrs57m31s

It’s was a feat of both physical mental and emotional strength.

I had no idea what to expect having never done anything like this before. I trained on the stair master, running hills and doing pull ups. But nothing could prepare me for the breathtaking beauty of Snowbasin Ski Resort in Huntsville, Utah.

We hiked 7.8miles climbing an incredible amount of elevation most of the way and undertook 25 obsticles ranging from bear crawling through the mud to carrying buckets and bags of sand to monkey bars and a spear throw.

I am so proud of myself. And I believe you can do hard things too!!

After this weekend we both smell like campfire 🤗

One thing that yoga + Ayurveda has taught me is that we can’t fight fire with fire 🔥

Let me explain

Ayurveda is an energetic life science use as a medical system in different parts of the world.

Ayurveda is based in nature and teaches us how to create harmony and balance using the 5 great elements (earth, water, fire, wind and space)

Because Ayurveda uses energy we can learn how to alchemize our mood, health and longevity. Meaning we are in control of our wellbeing on a daily basis.

When we try to push through pain, fight fire with fire or suppress our natural urges we down grade our bodies innate ability to heal and overcome adversities.

We loose our life force energy

I say all this because Ive often felt out of sorts in a stressful world. For so long I thought there was something wrong with me, that I needed to change. When in fact I was trying to change my DNA and confirm to something that wasn’t even meant me.

So if nothing else, give yourself permission today to simply be. And if there is something standing in your way may you have the strength to try again and to see the same problem in a new light. Because you are worthy without needing to change and you are capable of change when it is necessary. 🙌🏼

I was today years old when I learned that the term "chronic" is applied when the course of the disease lasts for more than three months...

This is seriously blowing my mind right now. I don't know how to feel.

I've been struggling for YEARS I know many people who do.

Part of me wants to say, "see! I AM going through something HARD."

And another part of me is saying that there is a huge DISCONNECT here. Drs told me I was "young and healthy" and I should "keep doing what I was doing" years into a chronic condition that hasn't even been diagnosed yet.

It's baffling because sadly in our modern world treatment doesn't really start until after a diagnosis. Leaving those who seek help to feel helpless, hopeless and alone.

I wonder why that is. When it is even easier to treat the fundamentals of health first and foremost.

⛺️Yes there will be car pooling with two pick up spots one in eagle Idaho and one closer to down town.

🌲Yes there are amenities but things are limited. Be prepared to use an outhouse or minimal type bathroom

🌸 We have a few activities planned like morning yoga, meditation, a hike, a dip in the hot springs or creek, camping style games like bean bag etc but everything is optional and we just want you to make some lasting connections with the other gals !

Hello Beautiful 🙌🏼 My name is Myckie Colet

I began my career as an athletic trainer working with athletes in pre and post rehab. I found I had an eye for alignment and was very good and helping my clients reconnect to their bodies when they had been ignoring pain or not listening for so long !

When struggles arise in my life I often turn to the more feminine and holistic modalities of Ayurveda, reiki, mindfulness, EFT tapping and yoga nidra which are all modalities I have trained in and use with clients. And so many of us crave stillness, softness and surrender but don’t have a safe place to do so.

More now than ever I feel a deep longing for more meaningful relationships in my life and have began hosting woman in wellness retreats in my hometown of Idaho to bring together driven woman seeking more energy, confidence and clarity.

Seriously soul sister, running from pain only leads to burn out and self deprivation.

When I was at my worst mentally with my ED I constantly felt like I had to make up for what I ate. The gym became a place to earn my next meal. I always felt like I was punishing my body and it was endless, I knew I would never be good enough at the rate I was going…

So we must flip the script, instead focus on the privileges of health and the power of mindful movement. It becomes a gift the the nervous system, body and mind rather than a punishment.

And when tended to I promise, your body will THRIVE ❤️
