Hi everybody, I decided to come out of retirement for one day only to help out a good friend of mine.

Her friend, Brian, is battling cancer and they are having a BIG fundraiser (more info in the link) at the East Bridgewater commercial club on February 18.

Due to my hand, not being 100%, I cannot do a big baking so I am offering to raffle off one dozen cupcakes.

This is a $24 value so if you win and you only donate a dollar, you will get a dozen cupcakes for a buck! And ALL, 100% of proceeds will be donated to this cause. As a daughter and aunt of two of the people I most love in this world, watching them battle cancer, was the most gut wrenching thing I've ever gone through, so I know all about cancer. Thankfully, my mother and my niece are both doing great as of today 🙂 but I know what kind of a toll it can take on a family and add a financial burden to it is 1,000 times worse.

I will be picking the winning name on Saturday, February 10 at 9:00am for pick up on Saturday. Cut off is Friday at 6pm.

Happy New Year, everyone!

2023 proved to be a very trying year for me personally.

I started the year out working at a grocery store bakery as a way to generate some income after leaving the medical sector. I learned A LOT in terms of decorating cakes (I finally learned how to make a rose on the nail that had elluded me for 30 years!) and piping techniques. After injuring my hand and subsequent surgery, I realized I couldn't decorate anymore and resigned from my job as well as not baking anymore out of my home.

I had some health trials with both my parents which caused me to cut back on baking as well.

On a positive note: I got married on 9/30/23! To say that this has been a whirlwind of a year, is an understatement! We have been having trials and tribulations trying to navigate this new life but being such a strong couple with a rock solid base, we have made plans and are working towards those plans to make our dreams come true.

I decided to go back to the medical world and landed my dream job as a federal employee! 

With all of this being said, I am writing to let you all know how grateful I am for your support with Natty Cake. There have been some stops and starts and all the while, you all have been there to support me and my dreams of baking and decorating.

I am so honored to have been a part of your special occasions and that you put your trust in me for that. For all the fundraisers I have done that you all showed up to support.. I THANK YOU! I am blessed to have made friends along the way - not just customers.

With all the major changes that happened in my life and continue into this year, I honestly don't have time anymore and I have made the hard decision to retire for good. I did not renew my license for 2024. I did toy with the idea of going back to the grocery store bakery on the weekends but my hand won't allow me to at this time.

I just wanted to let you all know what was going on, I love you and wish you all a VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR!
